My brother in law just moved back to the area and bought a place in Bellevue. Paid cash. He moved in last weekend, buying all of his furniture and such brand new.
He was evacuated yesterday. He is battling cancer for the third time and hasn't yet had a chance to get his homeowners insurance. He could lose everything.

I live in Elkhorn and pretty much all roads going west stop at the river. Have to go way out of the way just to get to the other side. I've got a friend stuck in Waterloo because there are no ways in or out at the moment.
