Only took me 2 hours and 10 minutes to commute to work today. Usually only takes 20 minutes. Bravo, Omaha!

ha. yea, i was thankful i couldn't sleep and got in at like 6am. very few cars out then and everyone was taking it slow. probably only took me an extra 10 minutes or so. saw one overturned car and at least 6 others spun out.

Sounds like the panhandle is gonna get it good here pretty soon with another blizzard.

Meanwhile I got shook out of my bed at 1:30 this morning by a lightning strike that felt too close for comfort.

One dead in floods in Platte County

Daughter lost her mobile home to the Platte River. Trailer was new 14 months ago. It is doubtful we will get to enjoy the camp grounds this summer due to damage of infrastructure.

I feel both sorry for these people but a little at these people. you really built a home in between a lake and a river? I'm guessing that flood insurance wasn't cheap.
