After watching jones, I’d bet shanny is wishing he’d went with his gut.

Once Lance threw that bomb for 80 yards I'm sure Shanny was just fine with Lance.

One thing to keep in perspective is the offense Lance was running was extremely vanilla and it wouldn't be what he'd do if he was playing in the regular season. Lance out of all the rookie QB was the best one when it came to throwing on the move and we'd see a lot more bootlegs, zone reads, and RPOs.

Not that Lance can't throw out of the pocket because I believe he can but you're just not using all the tools in the tool box by not having him move around and use his mobility to his advantage.

I think that can be deceiving though. Mac threw 19 passes for 83 yards. Probably a lot of slants and dink and dunk trying to get him comfortable. A stat is a stat but for example I watched Fields vs MIA and Lawrence vs CLE and I was way more impressed by Fields. Lawrence didn’t play one snap vs the 1st stringers too. I do think Mac could be a perfect fit for that NE offense though

Mac Jones attempts. I don't see anything particularly impressive here. He made his receivers work hard on some early throws. Some checkdowns and tosses over the middle. Missed some downfield throws. Who are NE's receiving threats supposed to be this year?

I think he did fine. The lack of arm strength is noticeable though. He's gonna need to be Brees level accurate to be a great QB. I think for that alone it scares people off of him more than it does Wilson, Fields, or Lance. His margin of error is much smaller than any of the rookie QB's.

He's got good ability to get through progressions, looked like a normal pro QB in that sense. But yeah, he's gonna have to put it on the money.

Lot of rollout and movement with Fields. Did look to have an ok start.

Looked like it but it was still an on the money throw from the opposite of the field.

But as a fan what I'm happy to see is that he took the shot. There was a WR wide open he could've easily hit for 10 yards and a first down which is what Jimmy G would've done but he went for a harder throw with a higher reward.

theres no doubting he has arm talent. I agree with you, sorry wasnt necessarily a shot at him. You wont find a bigger jimmy g basher than me. Dude has 250 yards and 3 tds. 197 YAC, and 2 of 3 tds tossed behind the LOS.
