Happy Hudler signed a 1 year, $2 shmill deal with the Dallas Stars yesterday. He should be able to get a pair of shoes now.

I think the Hudler signing might be an indication that Nichushkin is KHL-bound. Either that, or they've lost a lot of faith that he's going to be anywhere near as good as they once thought he would be.

Which means they will be lucky to get past the first round again.

Before the Devils traded for Schneider I wanted them to take Nichuskin and even his rookie season I thought he looked like he was going to be a stud, strong on the puck, great shot. I don't know if it's injuries or his attitude but would be disappointing if he can't turn it around.

It's not Nukes attitude. The kid is a hard worker by all accounts. His injuries seem to be the issue.

Not sure many teams wouldn't be interested in him. Such a talent.

I think it could be a situation like with Yakupov and the Oilers where the team thinks he's still worth a lot and potential trade partners lowball in the hope the team just wants to be rid of him and in the end everything stays SQAB.
