The only thing I can think of is Bergevin was worried that someone else might eventually hire him after his inevitable firing in the near future. So therefore he made moves the last weeks to ensure that it doesn't happen, that no one ever hires him again. Its the only thing that makes sense to me.

Well, Milbury likes what he's done. So he's got that going for him. Which is nice.

Therrien will have his hands full keeping Weber from killing Radulov.
As long as he doesn't smile when doing it then it should be OK.

Steve Simmons just said Shea Weber is a better defenseman than PK Subban.

Also:

You guys will like him. 4th line guy all day long but plays his heart out. I was actually disappointed the Jackets didn't hold onto him. Had a good Calder Cup playoffs.

Radulov is leaving about $1M on the table, walking away from CSKA's deal.

Maybe that's true, but at least he knows he's going to get paid by the Habs :D

So far so good for the Devils. Lock up the rest of our RFAs and I'm happy.

The front-loading of Okposo's deal tells me the Sabres are probably already planning to buy him out a few years into the deal when guys like Reinhart and Eichel are due for big paydays.

Don't know the exact breakdown yet, but given that they're saying over 50% is bonuses, they can probably pay him $30M of it in the first three years. That way he gets way more of the actual cash in the event of a buyout (keeping him happy) and they can still free up a lot of cap space for other guys.

I'm wondering if the next CBA won't also focus on some of these bonus-heavy contracts.

Hamhuis deal seems fair

I still think coil could have really used his veteran presence

Why does it surprise u ? Stars wanted him at the deadline

True. I was talking puck with a friend of mine before i left for my summer co-op job who is a Bruins fan . He mentioned how Boston needs a Defense man. When i saw Hamhuis name on the FA markets, my immediate thought was he was going to Boston. Now that i think about it. Dallas makes sense.
