We shot ourselves in the foot so many times this game that I didn't think there would be anything left to shoot at the end. So we went for the headshot and threw a pick and then a personal foul.

To be honest, when it happened I didn't think DPE being out would change the outcome of any games. After losing on a last-play hail mary and in overtime, having a dynamic player like him was likely the difference.

A few dropped passes in this game was likely the difference. Can't drop that many passes that were on the money and expect to win.

I think fishin' with Popeye sounds fantastic. But when that time comes, we'll have to agree to disagree on Mr. Armstong. He's a great player who you can watch and know he wants to win. He's handing off the ball then getting down field throwing blocks. He's no prima donna.

And this is the point. A special teams player from a year ago was the make or break this season. We do not have the horses. The cupboard is not as stocked as it was for the last guy. Especially after he poisoned the remaining players who felt some loyalty to him with his petulant rant after he was fired. Dude has no class.

I would say it changed the return game except for the fact that Westie had some good returns today. With that said there was no threat of taking it to the house so maybe. WR though? We have depth.

WR wasn't even a consideration I was just being a butthole, but not about the accuracy of throws to our receivers, it make zero difference in that regard

I'm still very very optimistic about the future. Defense is scary though. Can we please have both good at the same time for more than once in 30 fucking years

Really, the absolute worst case scenario is that this is just a shitty year. I can accept that. Even if that happens, I STILL feel like we are in a much better place and are heading in the right direction. My preseason expectations may have been a bit high, but I think the program is in a better place now than it was, even if our record doesn't show it this year.

We just don't have the guys. Nearly a third of our travel roster down to Miami was walk-ons. The cupboard won't get filled in one offseason.

It's rough, but we've sat through the BP disgrace so we should be well conditioned. I didn't think this season would be a world beater, this is The other guys team still, he'd still have 2 losses as well as some sportscenter ranting highlights, no 9 win season and maybe bad enough for a broadcaster to admit he's not The One. MR may not be either, but we're one year ahead of the curve as far as I'm concerned
