Maybe bloviator Pelini should read that.

They just go to the starting unit. Plain and simple. Not because they are playing "up to expectations". The starters can lose them day to day. A back-up can take it away. They are placed in/or taken out of lockers daily.

You want more effort out of the defensive unit? Reinstitute the tradition of the Blackshirt.
