He's sitting in the dead center of the fairway after bombing a huge drive with nothing but a Sand Wedge into the green, and he aims 25 yards to the left of the hole and tries to cut the ball in there.

Just take dead aim you dumbshit! Get it close. Now you're sitting 50 feet away putting for birdie

I'm going to watch the replay tonight. I'm just figuring any club selection from the fairway that I might consider is like 30+ yards too long for a PGA player.

Yea he ended up taking a hybrid out he said.

Still, I would have thought an easy 4-iron would have been the perfect play there. He would have shot 62 and got the record but for some reason he was trying to hit some high fading fancy hybrid in there.

Wow...Spieth lit it up!...Scoring was way lower than I expected, 20+ guys under par I think. I did realize the greens would be more receptive, but some easier pins and well and the wind was not the factor I thought it might be late.

I have to say, Tiger's making us eat crow at the moment. Hasn't imploded like we expected and is above the cut line for right now. Birdied that first hole, which has eaten up the field so far in 1.5 days.

I sure hope I haven't jinxed him.

Spieth might just run away with this. He's playing out of his head right now. I know it's only Friday but he's going to put a lot of pressure on everyone to stay in contention. I think the rest of the tour is seeing another guy like a young Tiger who loves the game, is 100% focused on winning, and is willing to work harder than everyone else. There's absolutely no messing around with him. He wants to be #1 and his entire life revolves around it.

Too bad Tom Watson has stunk today, he was -1 yesterday, would have been cool to see him make the cut and hang around the top 20, not looking likely now.

Spiet is just unbelievable right now. I want him to win, but I hope this isn't a total runaway win, nothing better than some drama at Augusta on Sunday.
