And would somebody tell Mike Weir to stop coming to the tournament, already? Dude probably hasn't made the cut in a decade. Hell, he probably hasn't even broken PAR in a round in the past decade. 8 holes in and he's already +5.

There should be a limit on how many times a past champion should be allowed to come back and embarass himself

If I was him, damn right I'd be back every April! I'd have to be on crutches before I'd opt out.

That's why the decision needs to be taken out of their hands with some rule tweak. Ian Woosnam should't be allowed back, either. I guess they don't care if there's a few guys stinking up the bottom half of the card, if they're only going to be out there til Friday afternoon

I am sure I am not alone in this thought but I really hope Tiger shoots like +10 for the 1st 9 holes so it will not be the Tiger show and we can see other golfers play.

It is tradition to not show about 80% of the Masters on TV.

ESPN will show the Masters today and tomorrow from 3 PM - 7 PM
CBS has it Saturday and Sunday.

It was stated that the reason the Masters is not shown is because viewing audience is primarily men and most are working on Thursday and Friday. Supposedly they did a test back a number of years ago and the TV numbers were so bad that they didn't believe national advertisers would pay for a 14 audience share. No one knows if the screening was given any pre-tournament ads or information.

Personally, I think if ESPN or CBS started coverage with the first tee time, they'd have people watching until the last golfer finished 18. I also think there would be an abundance of extra long lunches and used sick days.

They show the other Majors though, so that would have to be false. The majority of viewers for the Masters would be the same as for the US Open.

There is so much tradition that goes into the Masters though. They literally have a golf course that they save up all year just for this one tournament. And it's competely surrounded by trees side-by-side so you can't even see the course from outside. The place is magical.

This tournament is so prestigious it's ridiculous.
