I don't know. If they sign a good FA, maybe. These guys still need to learn to play together and prove they can stay on the court. The future looks extremely bright. I think they could easily make the playoffs this year and that should be the goal. However, I would not expect them to do anything once they get there. That will take a couple years.

The only player that I'm really concerned with is Embiid.

The east is garbage. The Cavs, Celtics, and Wizards are the only teams I can think of that are definitely better. The Raptors could also be thrown in there. After those four teams, there really isn't a sure thing to be better than the sixers. They'll compete with the Bucks and Hawks for the 5th seed if they aren't not up there with the Raptors, Wizards, and Celtics (who I think vastly overachieved last year. Unless they get BG.)

They are 2-3 years away from a playoff spot.....and that's a 6-8 seed in the East. They have a lot of growing to do together. And Simmons and Embiid have to show they can stay on the court.

All 3 players have superstar potential. They would have made the playoffs this year if Embiid stayed healthy and Simmons didn't get hurt. Big if, I know, but the talent is already in place to be a future contender if Fultz and Simmons are as good as advertised, this team has more talent than any other rebuilding team, hands down.

It will take time and health is not a given, but you are severely underselling the upside for this group.

Fultz was playing JV ball 3 years ago and he was on a squad that was 9-22 last season.....Great player on a bad team. And Embiid's ability to stay on the court is a serious question.

Simmons I can see staying healthy and blossoming into a stud.

A collection of young talent =/= NBA success... at least not in the near term.
