Nebraska finalizes non-league slate

Jamrog said Nebraska has finalized its last nonconference game for the 2012 season but won't announce it until at least next week.

NU is waiting to release the Sept. 22 opponent along with some opponents for the 2014 and '15 seasons. BYU is considered one of the possibilities for the future schedules.

A look at the Huskers' nonconference schedules through 2016:

• 2012: Sept. 1, vs. Southern Mississippi; Sept. 8, at UCLA; Sept. 15, vs. Arkansas State; Sept. 22, open.

• 2013: Aug. 31, vs. Wyoming; Sept. 7, at Southern Mississippi; Sept. 14, vs. UCLA; Sept. 21, vs. South Dakota State.

• 2014: Sept. 6, open; Sept. 13, at Fresno State; Sept. 20, vs. Miami, Fla. Sept. 27, open.
