I'm totally weirded out by that......I'm not even gonna lie.
I'm all for giving a young man with a life threatening disease a chance to do something that nobody else gets to do............but that is not something that nobody else gets to do. It's been done......and not only was it done, but it was done in epic fashion and in a way that there should never be an attempt to recreate it.
Give the poor little guy something that he can be famous for. I feel bad for him.
I don't want anyone to take that the wrong way...........if that was my son I would be so grateful for that.
But comon maaaan........give the kid the headset and let him call a couple plays or somethin. Give him somethin to remember so that if he ends up making it to an older age he can look back and be like "dude, I was the only kid that got to do that."
You need to wake the fuck up and realize we aren't even talking about Nebraska here.........we're talking about a little kid who deserves something much more than that.
To me it's like... That kid has a limited time on this earth, and they're basically trying to memorialize him as "that kid who did that thing the one kid did first"
I mean the whole thing was so creepily similar.
Did you see the pre-play where they told the kid what was gonna happen?
I am seriously irate at the fact that anyone would think that I actually care that they copied Nebraska. I don't care if it was Kansas, USC, Florida......don't care. Don't care who did it first.
Fact is, Jack's run will end up being the play of the year on ESPN and this little guy at ECU will not even be remembered for his. There is something wrong with that and it's obvious. I just feel sorry for him.
Maybe the ECU kid doesn't care that he'll "be the first" to do something like that. Maybe he's not a narcissist like you two douches and didn't care about how he would be remembered throughout history, but was just thankful for the moment and just had fun.
