yeah when i am living on campus i walk the tunnel on my way home from work. HISL they tend to look down on me having people come, but if you were to happen to show up i could maybe sneak you out there.

Does the name Ken Maylen mean anything to anybody? I believe he was a starting O-lineman during the late 80s but I can't seem to find anything on him on the interwebs. I might be misspelling his last name a little but it's something like Maylen

There was a Wayne Meylan who played for the Huskers in late 60's. He's in the College Football HOF.

One of my favorite parts was the player's gatorade machine............my boss told me to stop and fill up a cup whenever I wanted. Endless amounts of free gatorade in different flavors

Actually I take that back. My FAVORITE part was working basketball games and soccer games...........

Got all the free Pepsi and Valentinos Pizza or Runzas that I could eat.

Now THAT was some good benefits I tell ya.

The only time I didn't get free food was at a Soccer game one time when I messed up the National Anthem

Wasn't my fault though.........someone put the "Hey Macarena" CD in the player instead of the National Anthem. All I was supposed to do was push play when the clock counted down to a certain time.

My boss was fuckin pissed at me though. Even Shot Kleen himself came up there and talked to us.

Yea, I refused to work any football games..........told my boss right from day 1, football days are my days...........I will not work a football event no matter what.

I would have gotten to sit up in the skybox and everything, but I don't want to be on a computer pushing buttons while my Huskers are playing.

I worked basketball games because I got to sit right down on the floor next to Doc and all I had to do was make sure the ads were rolling across the big banner there where the players check in.

I literally had court side seats and didn't do a damn thing except watch the game.

I worked in computing services, but we worked with huskervision. I knew all the huskervision guys.

For basketball games I could either keep stats, or I could run the banner ads...........that was a no-brainer for me as I got to sit right on the floor and do nothing.

For soccer games I did a ton of shit. Ran all the audio as well as tested all field speakers before the game, ran the scoreboard/clock, helped keep stats. You wouldn't believe how crazy these soccer folks get when you don't get the clock stopped within a millisecond of the referee signaling for it to stop.
