I mean, the first 2 quarters and 12 minutes of this game, they looked absolutely terrible. Did nothing at all on offense. Then, the switch flipped.

indeed sir, Delaware does have a very good defense, it is one that could compete with FBS. Some ajustments must have been made and it worked to perfection at the end. Storybook end to a storybook season for Eastern Washington.

I thought it started when EWU started throwing the ball downfield. For the first 40 minutes of the game, they very rarely threw it more than 10 yards and couldn't do a damn thing. Even without a running game tonight, they completed a few long passes on their first TD drive and it spread out the Delware secondary. Once they realized they could throw the ball downfield, Delaware was unable to stop them.
I don't follow the CAA very much, but just looking at the statistics, it appears that most CAA teams rely heavily on their rushing attacks for offense. It would make sense then that Delaware was better at stopping the run than stopping the pass. With no big throwers to go up against in the CAA, I just don't think Delware ever faced anything like what EWU threw at them on offense the last 20 minutes. EWU made the adjustments on O to move the ball and Delaware couldn't match them. JMO
