Notice that the two most talented freshman D-Linemen will most assuredly be redshirting, but Moss and Curry will likely burn theirs. There's a reason for that.

With Tommy it's complicated because you'd like to see him develop at his own pace, but burning his redshirt now and getting him real playing time would be smart for one reason:

Stanton. If he burns his RS and Stanton doesn't then you likely won't have Stanton transferring if Armstrong is entrenched as the starter by his Junior season. Stanton would have 2 years to play after Armstrong has left.

I seriously have no problem pulling his redshirt if he seriously is going to see some playing time this season........which it sounds like they really want to play him.

Get him ready for 2014.........Johnny can redshirt next season.........Tommy can play 2014-15..........Johnny can play 2016-17
