Why is he batting leadoff? Okay, he got voted in, he has to start, but leading off? He's the weakest hitter in the lineup.

what I hope, the reason he is batting first is because they will take him out after his first at bat... The sooner he bats the less game he has to ruin it for the Oakland A's(damn A's buying a championship...LOL)

he's actually having a decent year for a 40 year old.

he is by far the worst hitter in the starting lineup and a liability defensively, no matter how sentimental a select few get.

Batting him first and taking him out after his second AB allows for less time in the field. Besides, I'm expecting him to get a pitch or two grooved, so he may not be a liability at the plate.

I feel bad for people who hate the Yankees and even worse for people who don't like Jeter.

This baseball season is going to genuinely suck for you people. Bad enough you had to deal with Mariano all through last year, now not only to you have to sit through it all again, but this time it's Jeter.

The Yankees have 5 WS championships since 1985, more than any other organization. I'm happy with that. It would get boring if the Yankees won it every season.
