I don't think so by the NFL or officials, but have seen instances with a coach/player have. Back when Jimmy Johnson was coaching the Dolphins his team was fav by 10 points in a game. I'll never forget, they were up by 8 with like 30 sec left 3rd down and the other team had no time outs, on the opposing teams 35 yard line. I'm expecting they knee it and win, but he calls a t/o and goes for a 52 yard FG. So I dont know if he plunked a lot of escarole on game or if Mob told him to win by over 10

And while it doesn't change anything, when a fanbase of a team not playing has this much crying to do over one play in a game that featured many plays...it's funny and we are going to point it out.

It was a poor officiating job by the refs. The Cowboys benefitted from it in this particular instance. They still won the game regardless. The outcome is not going to change.


The FACT of the matter is that if it had happened the other way with Detroit getting the benefit of the call, I would say the EXACT SAME THING about the call(s), but you are too fixated with what team that I root for to even consider that I am actually truely impartial.

DET did get the benefit, they should have been flagged and weren't.

he could have been flagged, and should have. That said, that call goes without getting flagged all the time.

I'm going back through to find your outrage over Odell Beckham Jr doing the same thing in weeks 16 and 17 and getting fined but not flagged (excatly how this will go down). Can't seem to find it.

It was pass interference and defensive holding before that. SHocked the refs picked up the flag.

That said, I think it was a terrible play call for 3rd and 1, and made even worse when the Lions decided to not go for it on 4th down.

Not the best angle to show it, but 1 second into this GIF Hitchen's left hand is full of jersey and it can clearly be seen being pulled from the opposite view.

I know i have a lions symbol in my avatar so I'll through out the caveat that many others have that the refs didnt' fumble twice on the final drive, this didn't decided the game, but what an awful sequence of events this play was
