Can't count the first 4. There were no official national championships until 1936 when the AP poll came out. All the prior is just conjecture.

Minnesota was the official 1941 National Champion according to the AP poll, not Alabama, so there goes another one.

1961 was the first undisputed championship. Both AP and UPI

Same with 1964. 1965, you split the title with Michigan State. So that comes to 2 1/2 National Championships.

1973, you split with Notre Dame and 1978 you split with USC. You won undisputed in 1979. That makes a total of 4 1/2 championships.

1992 is unanimous so that's 5 1/2.

2009, 11, 12 are also unanimous so that makes 8 1/2. Congrats. That's quite an impressive record.
