Minny has nailed seven 3s and played pretty good defensively. FSU is cold as ice from the perimeter but has the athleticism and shooters (had been shooting well from downtown prior to this match-up).

Minny up by 10 at the break but will need to shoot better than 38% to hold this kind of lead. Minnesota did get them by 10 back in December. ..

SMU awaits the victor and they will be ready to ball.

While you are right that he knows more about basketball than anyone else, that does not make him a good commentator. Teacher of the game? Fuck yea, there's nobody better.

Should he be on tv? Absolutely not, guy is awful. Give me bill walton every day of the week, I don't need somebody telling me about fundamentals, I already know about that. I need somebody who says outlandish, crazy things that make me laugh. Walton FTW

If he is teaching the game to you, sure. I already agreed about that. But bob knight has 0 personality and charisma, which is what you need from a tv commentator. You shouldn't need insight like that as you are watching a game on tv unless you're a basketball n00b, which is entirely possible.

Guys like Walton and Vitale (entertaining in their own right) are polar opposites of Knight, and not quite the same caliber, imo. Bob does have a dry sense of humor (he'll drop a line once in awhile) but generally talks about the two teams playing.

Bob simply takes the game more seriously.
