Unfortunately it isn't a new issue. Kiefer Sykes of UWGB did the same thing to us. The difference between conference and non conference is our fellow Big Ten teams have other guys those driving guards can get the ball to.

I worry that this will be thing that will be our Achilles heel come March.

Yeah true it wasn't new. I guess I just meant more the way Yogi played and Indiana as a whole Michigan and gophers have really emphasized the same. Gophers shoot a lot of 3s. That Smith bomb was just their 7th attempt of game.

But yeah they really gotta figure it out because March is all about good guards and you will run into those teams.

It doesn't make them feel bad. It's like storming a court. It shows that you think you are inferior.

Exactly my thought.

Chant something creative if making them feel bad is what you want but "overrated"? Hate it.

Nothing beats ISU storming the court vs Iowa this year when ISU was ranked higher lol.

And here comes my least favorite chant in sports....the Overrated chant.

Way to diminish a win idiots.

I get your point, but its kind of fitting. The last 3 games have exposed our flaws.

You guys are incredibly talented, Little Pitino looks like he could have been a great find for Gopher basketball. Looks like he has a lot of energy, and a solid system that I would be a lot of fun to play in.

Sorry Bucky fans but it is what it is. I am born and raised here and have to listen to you arrogant asses all the time. Good to see you taken down a notch

That might be true if the fans ranked the teams.

it's kind of true, though. Wisky's defense has been exposed badly, and it doesn't really matter how good you are on offense if you can't stop anybody.

Yeah I liked the hire from the get go. He could build something nice here(if he stays around lol). Shame that idiot Travis chose Stanford(seriously wtf).

If Dre stays around for his senior year this will be a damn good team for a few years I hope..for once ha.

Our opponents have shot 53, 55, and 58% the last three games. Some of that is our defense, but realistically, it's tough to win @ Indiana, v. Michigan, and @ Minnesota when they are drilling shots.

Wisconsin is giving up lay up after lay up. Nobody is drilling shots on them. And we didn't even have our best player tonight.

Yeah, if its a road game you are best off expecting a loss and just be pleasantly surprised if you win.

Wolverines rolling while the Badgers are falling apart.. I'm about as prideful of my team as anyone, but I'm not expecting a win this weekend in East Lansing.. A good game is what I'm hoping for and would be shocked if they actually take it..

I wouldn't be too shocked. Michigan is playing better than MSU right now, especially because Payne is out. He plays, I think MSU wins by 10+. As it is now, I'm taking Michigan in the upset

nor should anybody.

MSU's mettle has been tested -and found 'adequate'- in 18 of the 19 games they've played this season. 'Adequate' isn't enough, and everybody knows it. Payne's problem is NOT a "sprained foot" (much like McGary's problem was never a "sore back.") Michigan has adjusted nicely since the loss of McGary...MSU ISN'T adjusting, but merely biding time before Payne's return (much like Michigan wasn't adjusting while dealing with, biding time with an ailing McGary until the Zona game - McGary's last.)

Izzo's on record as saying he'd rather sacrifice a few losses than lose Payne permanently due to playing him before his "sprained foot" heals. Payne's begging to play - ya gotta love a kid willing to put his NBA future on the line for a game vs the skunkbears. I hope Izzo has the balls to keep him on the bench...take the loss, take the consequences, if it happens.

go green!

Kind of funny how the teams of the fans that kept trying to downplay Arizona's win over Michigan keep losing to them.

I think it was just that great dayne guy really.

Saying at Michigan wasn't much. Then bragged about beating Illinois.

Now that the facts are out. He's gone.

To be fair I thought that was a huge Michigan choke job.. I was quite embarrassed after that loss, granted to a good Zona team...

I don't know how that could be seen as a choke job. Michigan took a 1 pt lead with about a minute to go, Arizona went back in front, Stauskus missed a shot putting them in a position where they had to foul. Arizona closed it out hitting their free throws.

To me, Michigan played the best game they'd played all year (to that point).

Michigan played great last night, Stauskas is an animal. Iowa played OK in spurts but we need to start playing better first halves. Its almost like the go to guys are so worried about getting everyone else involved that they forget about themselves until we are down by 8-10 points. Thankfully we have been able to come back in alot of those games recently but tough to do it on the road vs a top 15-20 caliber team. Anyway good game Michigan, we'll get you in Iowa City :)
