Yes. It was Tim Miles' 1st win over a ranked team AND Nebraska's 1st win over a ranked team in their brand new arena.

I think the celebration was warranted.

They beat the Hoosiers @ Nebraska when we were ranked two years ago...

it's a crisp 5° in East Lansing right now...
anybody think the Breslin won't be jammed to the gills with screaming Izzies?
This will be MSU's 4th Payne-less game in a row...
I hope it's our last.

good luck Hoosiers.

Not going to watch the game. If you beat us by 15 @ AH, I can't even imagine the score at MSU, even without Payne.

Again. It was Nebraska's first win over a ranked opponent under Tim Miles and in the new arena.

Tim Miles has only been here a year and a half, and the new Pinnacle Arena just opened up in 2013.

That was Doc Sadler and the Devaney Center.

Right on. I though Miles was coach then.

IU played probably their best game of the year and still came up short. Tough break for them.

Monster Night of B1G Hoops

#10 Iowa @ #21 Michigan 7pm BTN
#9 Wisconsin @ Minnesota 9pm BTN

Based on what has happened so far this season for all four teams, I truly don't have a clue (much less a prediction) on how either of these games turns out.

Q: Can the Hawks overcome Crisler intimidation factor and a surging Beilein amalgam of team confidence?
Q: Can Wolvie hold back a deep, talented, experienced corn fed tsunami?
Q: Who wants the 'bounce' more - Bucky or Goldy?

luck guise :suds:

Some nice wins for Northwestern, Chris Collins has found a way to make this team competitive and most importantly his players have bought in. I feel bad for Matt Painter, he's a good coach but he hasn't found a way to get wins with his last couple of teams.

On to tonight's games: I think Iowa beats Michigan. Iowa is just too deep and too good. I think Michigan keeps it close for a while, but Iowa has so much of everything.

On to the game that's most important to me, Wisconsin at Minnesota. I want to be a homer and say Wisconsin wins, but I don't know if I can. Nigel Hayes needs to be assertive. The offense needs to pick up its level of efficiency. The defense needs to contribute what it can. I worry about Minnesota's ability to press and create turnovers, we struggled a bit with that against Iowa.

The Gophers/Badgers game should be a good one. I expect the Badgers will win because they need less to go right. If both teams are on, Bucky is a better team.

What the gophers need is Austin Hollins to get his head out of his ass. This is getting ridiculous. This team has been a pleasant surprise and he has just SUCKED as a senior leader.

Cuse, Michigan and MSU are 3 great teams that the gophers take down if he plays even decent. Then OSU and Iowa he also sucked against. We beat OSU even without him and Iowa played ungodly in the second half we woulda lost anyways but still..

The gophers have been a great surprise though. #2 cuse down to the wire, MSU OT, Michigan lose by 3, beat OSU, and Iowa(final score does not tell the story).

So we'll see how tonight goes.

I will be a complete homer and say Michigan at home gets it done. Red hot team, raucas Crisler crowd, tourney type atmosphere. I say its close but Michigan gets the home court push. 78-74.

Minny bounces back and knocks Wisconsin into complete tailspin. 80-71. Going on the road after losing two straight is not the scenario you like to see if you're a Bucky fan. The Barn is going to be rocking.

Should be a couple of great games tonight. My predictions: Iowa and Wisconsin win on the road. Hope I'm wrong about the latter.

Gotta say the more I am looking at the Gophers/Badgers match up I gotta say the match up definitely favors the gophers.

Badgers are more talented though and got a strange feeling they go off tonight.

They have struggled the past couple of games defending the high pick and roll. Mathieu and Dre Hollins could have a huge game, if that continues. I'm not sure EE will be much of a factor tonight. Hate his match up defensively against Kaminsky, who likes to pick and pop for 3 and EE doesn't have the foot speed to match up. The good thing is that Wisconsin doesn't have much length outside of Kaminsky, so rebounding shouldn't be much of an issue defensively. It's going to be high scoring. I just hope Wisconsin misses some of their 3's, I have a feeling they are going to take a lot.
