Were they a high seed those years though?

I can see this team being like a 3 seed and losing Day 1.

A ton of talent but maddeningly inconsistent.

Right now they're projected to be a 5 seed and that's before the Nebraska loss. They will drop to a 6 seed now for sure. They could probably drop to an 8 seed with how up and down they're and that wouldn't shock me at all.

In 2015 they were a 10 seed and in 2008 they were an 8 seed which is where they might end up.

This is going to be a wild year in the B1G. NEB beats IND? Unreal. Indiana with a weird resume. My guess is their RPI come tomorrow might be in the low 100's.

Unreal that a team that beat UNC and Kansas has an RPI that low.

Man Boilers shooting lights out. Ironically their bigs haven't done shit. Gonna be a long night when the other team shoots 66% from 3

At this point, it seems pretty clear that Purdue and Us are the class of the conference. I have no idea where to even look for #3.

Indiana? (Probably the third best, but some terrible losses)
Michigan? (Great start to season, but looked pretty bad the last month)
Northwestern? (The losses don't look bad, but the wins range from a decent Dayton win to a 4 point win over a terrible Chicago State team...not tourney-caliber wins at all)
Ohio State? (Terrible loss and no good wins)
Michigan State? (Probably #3 when healthy, but that's easier said than done)
Minnesota? (Just lost at home to a less than healthy MSU team)

Damn, this conference is down. We usually have 6-7 de facto tourney locks at this point. At best, there is three this year.

The league will still get 6/7 teams in the tournament if not more. The P5 leagues and Big East are going to rack up the tournament bids. The Mtn. West, AAC, and A-10 are all way down this year. The MVC is trending to be a 1 bid league as well. Wouldn't surprise me if 11 ACC teams got in.

:pound:Indiana

Indiana seems like that team that can probably beat anyone, but is also liable to lose in the 1st round of the tournament to like a 12 or 13 seed

Bad loss for IU but give Nebraska some credit. They played well and it wasn't like IU laid a complete egg last night. Nebraska shot over 48% from the field and 50% from 3-point.

A fluke win for Nebraska? Maybe. But I'll take it.

Definitely need to give Nebraska for making their shots, but there was a little fluke element to it because they vastly outperformed what they normally do, especially from 3 point range. I'll be honest I haven't seen much of Nebraska this year outside of bits and pieces here and there, but from what I saw last night they got good looks so that will obviously make it easier to make shots. Had they just managed to beat Gardner-Webb, with this win they would have positioned themselves for a run at the tournament, because the schedule they've played has been brutal, which they would have been given credit for.

Right, but will IU hang a banner for Nebraska for that game. They seem to hang them for everything else

Lots of big games today, including Louisville beating Indiana. What is going on with them?

Holy Nebrasketball... overcomes a 17-0 Maryland run. Comes back from 13 down with 6 minutes left to win at Maryland. Wins at IU and Maryland to start league play. Impressive.

When you play a brutal OOC schedule you aren't scared come conference play. Props to the Huskers for playing big time opponents OOC.

Yea true. Still can't believe we lost to freaking Gardener-Webb. We would actually had pretty good RPI otherwise

Yet Nebraska fans still want to fire Miles. I've lurked in there and some of the terrible stuff being said about their coach is terrible.

Cost Nebraska about 20 spots in the RPI.

God watching a young team play is fucking irritating. One bone head play, one great play. Rinse repeat. Sprinkle in missed free throws all over the place
