12th best SOS, according to Jerry Palm @ CBS.

FWIW, Nebraska is ranked #98 in kenpom.
Yeah #2 was before they played Southern. I guess my point is its tough to tell if they're no good or if they've just played a really good schedule or both lol

They're very bad on offense and are decent to good on defense. Smart money is that they're going to be a borderline Top 100 team in March, unless they get a lot better on offense.

Also, Rutgers' OOC schedule this year was embarrassing. Ranked #300 by CBS.

Even with that, they have had question marks on both side of the ball.

Yeah I actually think Rutgers is still the worst team in the league but they're better than the last few years

The program is definitely on the way up. They did good to hang with Seton Hall.

Took a look at the roster and they have some decent transfers.

Yep they will win some games in league play this year. I think 4-14 is only going to be separated by 5 or 6 games instead of 8 or 9+ this year

Van Vilet the 7 footer finally received some decent minutes tonight with 3 3 pointers in 3 attempts and 5 rebounds in less than 8 minutes. Hopefully we will get to see more of this guy as the Badgers win 90-37 I believe the second largest margin of victory in team history.

Dimitrik Trice is averaging 60% from 3 pt land as the backup PG. That's leading the NCAA.

Badgers first game vs Rutgers doesn't look like a cake walk anymore. They seem very athletic and have solid play-makers.

Badgers first 6 games is an up and coming Rutgers team, two of the top 3 BIG teams in @Indiana and @ Purdue then two middle of the pack teams in OSU and Michigan then @ Minnesota which only has one loss and has probably been the surprise of the BIG so far this season.

IMO Purdue should be the favorites now to win the BIG. Their C is a beast. I'm not sure who can stop or even contain that baaaaaaad man.

OK out of conference is done. With that here is my prediction for how the league ends up

1. Purdue
2. Wisconsin
3. Indiana
4. Northwestern
5. Minnesota
6. Maryland
7. Ohio St
8. Michigan St
9. Illinois
10. Michigan
11. Iowa
12. Penn St
13. Nebraska
14. Rutgers

Pretty much after Indiana I have no fucking clue until I get to Nebraska. Anyone team 4 through 12 can finish in the top half in my opinion. Gonna be awesome

Indiana being at number 3 is a joke, and I think Crean is a POS.

I like Purdue and Wisconsin more because of defense. Hoosiers can score with anyone but I'm not sure they can play good enough D, especially on the road, to win the league

He's always had major problems on the road. I agree with majority of your list at this point. I'm very curious to see how Maryland, Minnesota, and Rutgers perform early in BIG play to see if their success was a product of their schedule or if they're legit threats to make the tournament. MSU could still be dangerous late in the season since the freshmen will just get better.

I'd say Rutgers non-conference success was definitely because of their schedule

Best win = DePaul who is 198th in KenPoms RPI rankings

They lost by double digits to Miami (FL) (28) and Seton Hall (49) the only 2 decent teams they played.

Minnesota beat Arkansas (39) UT-Arlington (62) Vanderbilt (75)

Maryland beat Kansas State (31) Oklahoma State (33) Georgetown (50)

so they've at least beat a few decent teams and probably are both at least decent teams themselves.

Penn State is really bad. Northwestern leads 51-32 at the half.

Penn State has a better 2nd half but Northwestern closes out with a 87-77 win to kick off the B1G season.
