I live down the road from Champaign. But was raised an FSU football fan. I like Illinois football as well, but that's ugly
All Michigan here.:suds: Even with Beilein's garbage ass.

Michigan used to be a fun team to watch. I was at the B1G Tournament in 2013 when Illinois beat Minnesota on a last second shot then Michigan ran Penn State out of the gym

How much were tickets? I live in southern PA so I'm really interested in going since its in DC this year.

In 2013? On day 1, session 1? I think we got two tickets about 20 rows off the floor near midcourt for $30 a piece. Then the next day, the nose bleeds were over $75 a piece because the top seeds were actually playing

Only know this because I was going to go back and couldn't justify paying $75 to watch Illinois get their ass handed to them by Indiana and sit in the 3rd level of the UC

I'm thinking about doing the Thursday, Friday and Saturday games. So maybe in total like $200 a piece for those 3 days? Honesty not that bad.

My guess is that some stations in Ohio carried that coverage because he was from Ohio? Like I said nothing was interrupted in PA.

I'm sure, and it was probably a live broadcast as well. That's the only reason I can think of for interrupting a basketball game and two football games.

Go onto ticketmaster, there's a full session package for $250 for the lower section I believe. $200 for upper. Couldn't figure out how to do individual sessions but I think those come out later once the teams are figured out

Different game same bad stuff from Ohio State

my favorite part was the at least 3 times where we would get a defensive rebound, and make a immediate lazy pass that ended up right in the hands of a UCLA defender for a easy layup.

Yup, most undisciplined/unfocused squat Matta has ever coached. They had every opportunity to beat both UVA and UCLA and folded like a lawn chair under the pressure. I'd like to say they're gonna be good when they figure out how to put it altogether, but I've been saying that for over two years now. Nothing's gonna change with these guys.

This team can probably "hang" with anyone......but they also have the great potential to lose to anyone since they love really playing down to their competition (see the NC Central and Farleigh Dickinson games)

I don't think anyone in the B1G is particularly "elite" this year, but I doubt these guys will fully take advantage of that. This is the type of team that will beat Wisconsin then go out and lose to Penn State a few days later

Good point. We may just get back to the tournament if they can put together a few nice wins in a down conference. Indiana has looked like the real deal to me. Jury's still out on MSU, but they're young and I expect them to have things rolling by the end of the year. At any rate, it should be interesting.

I think Indiana is definitely the best team in the Big 10

Wisconsin is good but not great, same with Purdue

Then you have everyone else, besides Iowa Nebraska and Penn State who look pretty bad, i'd say the rest of the field is about even

Yup, a few teams to worry about, but if they figure out those missing pieces, they can easliy be top 5. All things aside, I wonder if what's going on with matta has any impact. I'll bet we're seeing one of his last years as HC.. if not the last. That UCLA game got tight at times and he didn't move around much at all. I think he's prepping Jent so he can basically medically retire.

Don't sleep on Iowa. Really super young butvtheyre starting to figure it out. Blow out wins over Iowa St and UNI their last 2 games. I think all 3 of those teams you listed are better than Rutgers ( despite their record) and the jury is still out on Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, MSU and Illinois imo ( as well as your Buckeyes)

I think it's IU, PURDUE, WISKY, drop-off NW drpoff everyone else. At least right now anyway

They'll struggle with the good/average teams in the B1G, which is why I left Iowa out as a sure win. They can get hot and outshoot just about anyone or they can hit nothing and lose to freakin Winthrop, at home.

Not really sold on NW being better than the "jury still out" field you listed.....That win against Texas isnt as meaningful now that Texas has crapped the bed. They are in good position to make the tourney for the first time ever though.

Going to be a really interesting year in the B10. Aside from the Topb3 NW is really the only other tourney lock I see. So much youth in the league just about any of the other 10 teams could finish 5th imo and maybe even squeeze NW out for 4th if their young guys coalesce. Even amongst the top 3 none if those teams are scary good imo.

Honestly the win over Dayton and one possession losses to Butler and ND are more impressive than the win over Texas

Eh, Nebraska beat Dayton too

Keeping up with ND and Butler is impressive, I got a feeling not being able to actully pull off wins against those types is going to be a problem for NW though.

For sure. Luckily for them there aren't many of those type teams in the B10
