Minnesota and Arkansas have agreed to a home and home for the 2016 & 2017 seasons. 2016 in Minnesota and 2017 in Arkansas. Honestly, this is pretty neat. I honestly can't remember the last time Minnesota did a home and home with another P5 school. Looks like Pitino wanted to give incoming freshman Eric Curry a reunion in his home state. I really like the diversity with Minnesota's schedule next year. This game with Arkansas, the game against St Johns and an ACC team for the challenge.

Can Pitino stop bringing in dumbasses? It's really unbelievable at this point. Morris, 3 stooges and now this guy, all within a span of 3 months? And just when I thought we could finally be done playing Konate and Diedhiou.

On one hand it's crazy that this shit keeps happening and he's gotta have some blame. But on the other hand these are a bunch of guys with no poor backgrounds of criminal/stupid behavior. It's just messed up how it keeps happening.

Yeah, it's frustrating. We'll see how this situation turns out w/Lynch. I thought this Gophers team could be very improved with the talent upgrade coming in. This will definitely hurt the depth of team.

Sound like Troy Williams (Indiana) and Caleb Swanigan(pu) are also going to stay in the draft despite the fact they won't be drafted in the first round and have not hired agents.

joy...
State is 1-8 against North Carolina teams during the ACC/B1G Challenge's 16 years - beating NCSt once, losing to UNC five times and losing to Duke three times...ugh...but
hey, here's a great idea - let's pit MSU against Duke again, ok?
<sfx: laughs and giggles>

another Izzo ooc nutzoid schedule: Arizona (Armed Forces Classic); Kentucky (Champion's Classic); Louisville (Battle 4 Atlantis - possible); and now Duke (ACC/B1G Challenge.)

Nigel Hayes will return to Wisconsin: 'There are a lot of pros to not turning pro'

Wisconsin Badgers star Nigel Hayes announced Tuesday he will be returning to Madison for his senior season.

Hayes, a 6-7 forward, originally declared for the 2016 NBA Draft last month, but he never hired an agent, which made him eligible to come back to school.

"I'm coming back," Hayes said, via the Wisconsin State Journal. "There are a lot of pros to not going pro.

"It was better to work on the skills I would need a year in the NBA a year in advance, rather than three months prior. As a byproduct of that, next year I presume my stock will be higher as well."

Greg Gard will start his first full season as the Badgers' head coach next season, and getting Hayes back will be huge for a team that made it to the Sweet 16 this March.

Hayes averaged 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season. He will join Bronson Koenig and Ethan Happ to form one of the better trios in college basketball.

Vince Edwards opted out of the NBA Draft yesterday...today it looks like Caleb fucking Swanigan will be heading back to school too...Purdue goes from hahaha to ruhroh in two days. B1G just might be nasty as hell this year.

I think the B1G will be improved for next season. I expect MSU to be about the same seed wise(2/3 seed), I expect IU to be about the same seed wise(4/5), same with Purdue. I expect Wisconsin to make a big jump up in terms of seed(2/3 seems about right). Maryland and Iowa will take a step back next year due to some of the personnel losses. If I had to guess I'd say neither team will make the NCAA Tournament. I think Michigan will be another bubble team so not much change there. The one big positive for the conference is the bottom of the league should be much improved(outside of Rutgers). I can potentially see both PSU and NW making the tournament next year with some of their additions and health, same with Illinois who was killed w/injuries last year. Nebraska and Minnesota should both be improved with additions and an additional year of experience for some of the young guys. Should be a nice bounce back for the league next year.

I hope so, it's more fun when it's an all out brawl. Although I'm fine with pu being terrible.

Melo Trimble returns, they pick up a much needed front court transfer and they have signed a top 10 class with three 4 star and one 3 star. What appeared to be a total rebuild at Maryland has turned around quickly into a top 20-25 team once again.

Maryland was likely to be in the running without Trimble - with him returning, the B1G has become a 5-team cage match. I think Hayes returning to Wisconsin makes them the team to beat this season (returning starting five from FF last year). Purdue might have been just ok this year, but with both Edwards AND Caleb fucking Swanigan returning? Jebus! Now throw Crean's and Izzo's kids into the mix? S'gonna be a fantastic season.

Just don't see what you are in Maryland. Eric is much closer with them missing the tourney then actually competing with MSU and Wisco.

They lose Stone, Layman, Carter and Suliamon. That is a shit ton.

Indiana and Purdue are better. Michigan returns everyone from that team that found their way into tourney(LeVert was hurt and Doyle sucks ass). OSU is bringing back a bunch from a young team.

Improved Nebraska, Penn State and Minny. I just don't see Mayrland competing for anything other than mid pack ish.

I won't speak for Eric (who posted the day UNLV decommitt Justin Jackson picked Maryland; he might now have a different take on matters) and I'm certainly no promoter of turtles, but MD brings in 4 Rivals 4* players and has Melo back...yah, they'll be competitive and will certainly make the tourney. Michigan will impress nobody; ditto Ohio State.

1. Wisconsin
2. Purdue
3. Michigan State
4. Maryland
5. Indiana
6. etc

IMO I think MSU will be the best team in the B1G next season. Have the best talent coming in, along with returning some very good players(Narin, Harris, McQuaid, transfer Carter from UNLV, Schilling, Goings) It's really a perfect mix of upperclassman and elite freshman. I think there's a pretty wide gap after the top 4 IMO. The top 6 for me would be:

1. Michigan State
2. Wisconsin
3. Indiana
4. Purdue
5. Ohio State
6. Michigan/Maryland

I think Maryland is 50/50 to make the tournament next year. Let's not forget they were a 5 seed last year, in a worse B1G than what it will be next year, at least IMO. They will have talent, but it will be young, and I don't think it's quite as elite as say what MSU is bringing in next year.
