Haven't read your thread...I will assume Riley is bringing DC Mark Banker with him at this point. THIS GUY is very good and is a mirror image of Riley himself. Should be a HC himself and with success at Lincoln the callers will be coming for Banker soon enough. Mark my words.

Braska gonna great soon!

Well, we don't know that they're exactly legit.

I really doubt anyone had heard of any of these guys until now, and their units averaged outside the 80's in ranks over the past 6 seasons. So it's hard to judge.

Like I said, time will tell. I'm all for whatever the coach wants to do. It's his shiny car, he can pick who he wants to work on it. But I'm helping pay for it, so if those people don't pull their weight, he needs to be able to say goodbye to his buddies.

Hope it doesn't come to that.

Yup. Forgot Bray. Still, all 3 legit assistants. Not just bowling buddies.

Of course they are. They wouldn't be coming to Nebraska if they weren't.

Now, I am extremely giddy.

I will hand it to you, you really think of Unicorns and Rainbows.

Usually, when a defense allows 30 or more points be scored in eight games against it in one season, and four games are blowout losses(losing by 21 or more), lose to your archrival for the 7th year in a row, I think storm clouds and the walking dead.

Luckily, it has not been confirmed because Riley endorsed Banker for head coach of OSU. I cannot possibly see how Oregon State would not take a recommendation from Mike Riley.

By the way, I have yet to complain about any of this.

I'm just saying, there is no reason to just believe these guys are excellent when we don't know anything about them.

We'll just have to wait and see. There shouldn't be anyone getting too high or too low on these assistants just yet.

Oh they're legit. The only reason they were at Oregon St was to learn from a great coach like Riley. They had tons of offers to go coach at elite schools for more money, but just kept turning them down.

They're all great recruiters that know how to spot diamonds in the rough and develop nobodies into NFL talent. Unfortunately it didn't culminate to much overall success because it was Oregon St with a small budget.

Now that they'll be making more money, things are gonna be different.

I'm more concerned how well they're going to recruit in the Midwest, winning ultimately will bring in the big timers, until if or when, it'll take more than just saying nice things to players in states you've literally never recruited before

Or something. Getting close to going on my very short ignore list. I can only take so much whining.

Good thing Bo got fired when he did. Or was I already on it?

Nah. It's all good.

Actually, I think there is only one person on it, and he's not a Husker board guy. I don't remember how to put someone on ignore anyway, so I'm really just blowin' smoke there.
