Overall, it just doesn't look good when this kind of stuff happens. My biggest concern has been confirmed. Now, the question is, will there be any upset signees about Watson and Gilmore???

JJM, I'm sorry to say this, but this happens all the time. Most assistants are on 1 year contracts and most often changes happen after signing day for this reason. I know it sucks for the players, but it does happen every where and every year.

Bottom line is that the three in question have had no contact with any recruits over the last three weeks. I guess were it me being recruited, I would have thought this might mean something (maybe in the case of Jackson ask Beck and the others that were there last weekend why Sanders was not there). Not saying something is different from outright lying, and Jackson in no way suggested he was lied to, but that he was just not told.

as for CJ's situation, I do feel bad about what happened, but I do not know the timeline Bo intended to work with until Mr. Wilson blew it up. Maybe Marvin wasn't ready for people to know, or they wanted to make it look like he just resigned.. I have no idea..

Just my opinion... but the recruits (at least in my day) were drawn to the institution because of the academics, head coach and facilities then fans. There are so many asst. coaching changes on a regular basis, that this should not be an aspect that causes any recruit to be overly concerned.

I was not there, I do not know circumstances and I don't want to pretend too, but I am just saying how it was a while back...

Seriously, this does not just happen all the time. This is why on signing day there were a lot of people saying "woah, wait a second.......it's February and just now coaches are going to get tossed?" This comes 1 month after Bo Pelini declared "there will be no coaching changes, the entire staff returns next season."

I'm just saying, it doesn't look good when signing day rolls around, the papers get filled with ink, and then all of a sudden it sounds like we're going to clean house.

I personally think Bo did what he had to do to save some recruits..........it's going to work.........but let's just hope it doesn't hurt our reputation.

And as far as this discussion goes.......once again, I am resigning to any further discussion on the topic of Charles Jackson. My opinion is that we were a little dishonest with some recruits this year.........I think it wasn't an easy thing for Bo to have to deal with, so I am not getting upset with him. I can't say I could have done any better than Bo did if I were in his shoes.

If any other recruits are reportedly upset over lack of contact, I may resubmit myself back into this whole conversation. But for now, for the sake of not starting opinion fights here on this great forum, I am done talking about it.
