He did explain it today, in all the things I've read. He visited Texas, then he had the OSU visit and was at the 5*Challenge and all the OSU stuff really started.

But he said it came back to his relationship with Stan Drayton, and said he realized that his original feelings for Texas (said he was high on Texas for a long time, before he even visited them) were still strong.

Who the hell knows? Trying to read anything into this stuff is like reading tea leaves. Better to have his verbal than not, but nothing is over until it's over

That's the way I see everything. I take verbals with a grain of salt until they officially sign on. We just got a verbal from a 5 star RB out of California, don't think for a minute I'll be surprised if he winds up somewhere on the west coast come NSD. Said the same thing when we got a verbal from a 5 star out of Louisiana last year, and it was no shock when he flipped to LSU.

Interesting. If my West Texas arithmetic is correct, the discrepancy between the highest and lowest in each conference is:
ACC - 70 places
B1G - 85 places
Big 12 - 46 places
PAC 12 - 87 places
SEC - 51 places

Huge span between in the PAC 12 and B1G!

4-star S Chris Thompson Jr. out of Texas has committed to Auburn. Big surprise as this kid was considered a huge lean towards Texas.

Chris Thompson Jr., Duncanville, Safety

yup was considered Texas lean for awhile-talk was he might be spun up to a linebacker, don't know if that was true. Texas is loaded in the secondary, especially at safety. Three five star guys and one composite five star, in last two years.

Still hate to lose him though
