Apparently Tejas is the front runner for that 5* RB out of Arizona now.

Improved odds, yet it's recruiting: it aint over until they sign that letter...and even then it may not be over (lesson #1, Bru McCoy)

Something doesn't smell right with this situation. He hasn't taken a visit since June to any schools, and just out of the blue he goes from being an extremely heavy lean to OSU to suddenly being favored to Texas. If he was just coming off a visit to Texas, or even an in-home visit from the UT staff, it'd make sense, but that didn't happen.

Is there a theory on why this happened?

4-star S Makari Paige out of Michigan has committed to Michigan.

Makari Paige, West Bloomfield, Safety

I apologize if this sounds bigoted to some.... I didn't know there were high level black athletes in West Bloomfield, MI. For those not familiar with this area, West Bloomfield is a very affluent Jewish community in northwest Metro Detroit... lots of doctors, attorneys, accountants, executives, etc. reside there.

That's the thing - nothing. I haven't even seen a quote from him, it was the word of another recruit that said he wasn't going to OSU. Just doesn't make sense.

And he's committed to Texas. Apparently Stan Drayton's resume swayed him.

He did explain it today, in all the things I've read. He visited Texas, then he had the OSU visit and was at the 5*Challenge and all the OSU stuff really started.

But he said it came back to his relationship with Stan Drayton, and said he realized that his original feelings for Texas (said he was high on Texas for a long time, before he even visited them) were still strong.

Who the hell knows? Trying to read anything into this stuff is like reading tea leaves. Better to have his verbal than not, but nothing is over until it's over
