As great as it'd be to get him, he has work to do. He's a freak athletically, but his technique needs work. He doesn't have those violent hands that you want from an elite DE, but if anyone can teach him, it's LJ.
The way I see it is Zach will be playing behind Chase Young and learning in the fly. Imagine Zach and Tyreke Smith on that DL. OMG!
I wouldn't be shocked if he sits at least a year and takes a RS. I'm 100% fine with Young and Tyreke next year starting, but don't forget about Cooper and Friday. I'm also wondering about Javontae Jean-Baptiste. He was a 4* guy, and he's a hell of an athlete (played OLB in HS).
Cooper was the other one I kind of forgot about. He's starting to get his game up to where we all expected him to be coming out of HS.
Not sure about Bob Landers' future. It wouldn't shock me if he went pro, as I've seen him with a mid-round grade. However, that DL has elite potential. Tommy Togiai, Taron Vincent, Antwuan Jackson, Haskell Garrett, Jerron Cage all have major upside. Just need to get the LBs back to where they should be, and step one there IMO is getting Marcus Freeman back to Columbus.
I think you nailed it. I think Day will try to bring Marcus Freeman back. I think Billy Davis is gone along with Schiano. Grinch will be promoted to DC. The Sooners were looking into Grinch.
I was disappointed Diaz got the Temple job. Sounded like a promising spot for Schiano. My guess is something similar will come open and we can get him out of here. Hopefully.
