For those that say UVA'S style of ball can't win in March, you are now forbidden from commenting.

They've earned their reputation fair and square. The only way to unearn it is to win it all or to make at least a couple deep runs.

This is Texas Tech's 1st Final 4. Prior to this, the Red Raiders' ceiling is the Elite 8 which they reached for the 1st time last year.

This is Virginia's 3rd Final 4. Their previous 2 appearances were in 1981 and 1984. In both appearances, the Cavaliers failed to make the National Championship game. Between 1984 and 2018, UVa made the Elite 8 a total of 3 times. Last year, Virginia was bounced in the 1st Round of the Tournament which garnered quite a bit of attention.

Yep. Too much bad to be overcome by one good run though. A championship or consistency is really the only way to remove the stigma in my opinion.

1969 and 1980. The former had 25 teams total and the latter had 48. Since the field expanded to 60+, PU has made it to 3 Elite 8's including this year.

You are correct, my apologies. My point still stands, even if you don't win the title, the "can't win in March" stigma is dumb if you make it to the elite 8 more than twice in a 4 year span.

Well, was glad I avoided all the media before watching that one off the DVR. It felt like we could've surrounded Edwards with Huff, Diakite and Salt and he'd still make a 3 with no problem. He was fucking insane.
Also glad to see that Kyle Guy finally found his stroke, better late than never. Was really surprised that Huff wasn't in there more to give Salt a breather.

Congrats on finally beating a top 3 seed team on their fifth top 2 seed tournament (four number 1's) in six seasons.

Clearly there was ample reason for the opinion

Well just in this run of success of Virginia's they had 12 wins to Virginia's 7 including a win over Duke last year and a final four. That is if you just completely ignore the fact they made the final in 12 and won the whole thing in 08.

But yea Virginia is practically Kansas.
