I still think Gohara has potential as a Bullpen arm. He has had a rough couple of years personally but he has great stuff.

Do you really think he’s allowed to let Soroka go over 100 pitches? That’s not his call.

I don’t have an issue with him pulling Soroka after 7. I do have an issue with him rolling out Luke Jackson again.

Luke Jackson is garbage. Along with the majority of the pen. I don't agree with putting Jackson in there in the ninth. But no matter who was put in there, someone here would have complained and said Snit fucked up. Anyone that thinks they could manage better with this bullpen is high. Does Snit make his fair share of bad calls? Yep.

So does every single person on this board. All Snit has done since he has gotten here is improve the team. Even in this interim year, the team was completely different when he took over.

Come playoff time, I'm sure they would role with Soroka in the 8th in that situation. I agree with not wanting Jackson out there in the ninth. But when you have a bunch of struggling arms, there's not really any easy decisions.

Hopefully after today, we can send some guys down and move Jackson to a more suitable role, like a 6-7th inning man.

I completely agree with not wanting Jackson out there. But its not like he has any great options.

You could throw the new guy out there. But hes never been in a save situation like that and in his last outing walked 3 guys. Not exactly the guy i would want out there in one of the biggest games so far this season.

Minter is so unreliable. So is Sobotka. Blevins is good for one batter only it seems. Tomlin is a guy that doesn't have anything electric. Also gave up two long hits in this one inning.

The best option would have been Newk. But even he has been unreliable at times with walks and only has one save this season. The one advantage (albeit probably worthless because hes still been garbage) Jackson has is the experience.

Hopefully this late inning shit can be solved with the three new guys. I just believe Snit gets a lot worse wrap than he deserves with what hes been given. Now if he trots out Jackson again this week in the 9th, he should be fired at that moment. No excuses.

All in all, great day. Greatly improved our bullpen, and won a series against the Nats. It's almost worth the blown save to hang an L on Mr Hipster Glasses.
