Most of the year? As of October 1st, over 80% of his CBs were to Ohio State. It wasn't until the last 6-8 weeks that things started trending the other way. It's odd that he wants to stay closer to home. His whole MO from the start was saying he didn't want to just follow his friends to one of the Texas schools and how he wanted to make his own path. Oh well.

yeah you guys were late on this......that's not the word we got in Texas, from those same teammates that were all going to Texas.

I TRIED to tell you this but you weren't hearing any of it. The kid likes OSU for certain.......but living in Ohio is a whole nother matter, just like I told you OSU wasn't getting BJ Foster.......but "why would they pick Texas over us?" was all we heard. Couldn't get anything through your head that just because you have a winning program is NOT the end all be all to a recruit from a state with a blue blood program. These kids want to win at home, just like kids in Ohio do.

OSU didn't back off of a top ranked DB......they realized he wasn't coming.

To be fair, 4 of them are from Georgia and the other 2 from neighboring states.(Zeus White from NC just like Gurley and Cade Mays from Tennessee).

We're definitely cutting into guys that would have been Bama commits in the past though.

THIS. Most of those kids in years past would have gone to Bama, or Tennessee, or even Florida......

Definitely.

We were arguably the top benefactors of Tennessee's fiasco as well with landing Cade Mays, who had been a Tennessee commit for over a year and who's dad played for them under Fulmer.

Yeah we benefitted too.

Texas just signed 4 of the top 5 kids in state, and 6 of the top 8......I don't think we did that even under Mack. Herman is cleaning up in state.......now if we can just find some OL/DL and LBs......

Yeah, I'm laughing my ass off at aggy right now........I have aggy coworkers that SWORE up and down they'd have a better class than Texas and that Sumlin was "killing it" on the recruiting trail, LMAO

Richest deepest DB class in the history of the state and they end up with a S that runs a 4.8 and is ranked outside the top 40

With the way both programs have been trending, how badass would it be if Georgia and Clemson still played each other every year instead of a home and home every 10 years or so?

I dont know why people keep bitching about Tom Herman. (6-6) is not amazing, but you dont win without players. This is the TEXAS TOP SEVEN state players.

Compare it to the Charlie Strong first full class in 2015.

Contrary to the common belief.....Texas has not been recruiting well for years.

Hopefully, Tom Herman is bringing it back to Texas recruiting domination.

Clemson inks 15, with four of them being Top 10 players and the #1 ranked recruit on 24/7 for the states of SC, GA, FL, and OH.

Make it so. Let GT play the coots in the "Little Brother Bowl"

If you go by Rivals(Rivals is a lot higher on Trey Hill, even ranking him above Jamaree Salyer than anyone else) Georgia signed 6 players ranked above Brenton Cox, while only 8 teams in the country have any players signed that rank above Cox.

Kinda odd IMO. Justin Fields seems to be more of the prototypical Clemson QB and Trevor Lawrence seems like more of the prototypical UGA QB. Gonna be interesting. I've seen Lawrence play this year, and he definitely looked for real. I love Fromm, but I'm excited at the thought of a dual threat QB down the road. We haven't had one since DJ Shockley.
