Plus that's 1.5m freed up as of 7/1. Working his way out of the cap probs. Granted, they are the cap probs he created, but still. Prout still had like 2 years on his deal.

For what it's worth, Kane has been a totally different player over the last 30 games or so and has a legit chance to meet or exceed his career high in goals despite missing something like the first 12 games of the season.

i know ... hes been on fire ... i just dont think it would go well in his hometown and I think/was worried benning was ready to give alot to get
