Texas Tech took us out tonight in a top 10 matchup. Although I have to say the home umpiring crew wasn't too kind to the wildcats. On to the next one.

LSU / San Diego came was a rainout last night now on to tonight's game. I am somewhat in a conundrum, LSU travels to Lake Charles to take on McNeese St. at the Jeaux. This is one of the few times I root against the Tigers

At times I do not understand his thinking on pitching decisions. I understand it is early in the season and the SEC is what counts but geez, sometimes I just say to myself WTH is he doing.

Don't forget running out of the first two innings with stupid steals, one of which would have scored. Not to mention you save Newman all weekend for Texas Tech and what do you do? Wait to put him in? Brain dead, non-baseball minded decisions. He needs to quit over coaching and micromanaging. All he is doing is overcoachinf to give himself a pat on the back and say, lok how smart I am! Baseball is a weird sport. They play in a stout conference, if they keep playing well they will no doubt get their due. TCU and Tech are both solid teams. TVU with the 15 inning game vs A&M. Came back down 5 in the 9th inning and well coached. TCU is scary.

I already bought my tickets for one game of TCU at K-State. Even if the KittyCats lose I want to see TCU play.

When I was in school kentucky was 22-0 going into a series with LSU. Tigers took 2 of 3, but point being Kentucky was ranked like 12 despite an unbeaten record.

It is odd. I also find it how vastly different the polls and RPI can be from each other. I guess I've been overly conditioned by CFB and NCAA BBall polls.

Everything about baseball is different. From the guys who play it, to how it's plays, the attitude needed to play it, and even no time limit. It's just a different game.

McNeese St. defeated LSU 5-4 last night in front of a standing room only crowd at the Jeaux. Congrats and good win for the POKES.
