I'm thinking about maybe making the ride out to Hoover this year for the conference tournament depending on bank account etc. Saving up for a house, need a new car, so not sure how that kind of drive and hotel stay looks right about now.

I drove through Hoover a few times on my way down to FSU football games, and there's plenty of places to stay outside of the city if you don't want to spend top dollar for a hotel. Most of the area isn't bad, and you can get in fairly cheap for the games because nobody really gives a damn about college baseball. If I had more than the 26-28th off, I'd be heading down for a few games

Damn, that's a trip. I think its about half of that for me. If LSU plays for the title I may just take a trip to see them play for the title and/or semi-finals. Who knows.

You piqued my interest on some things and just noticed that the ACC championship is in Louisville this year. Weekend pass for $60, and only about a 4 hour drive

Lol I can't make the whole tournament, but if I could.. I'd be down there all damn week. Only $140 or so for the every session and I've already got a few places to stay down there. Freakin adult jobs and work

Luckily I will be off during that time, but I have a fiance who loves baseball. I'm not about to up and take the trip with a buddy if she has work and wanted to go.

I'm single and have zero commitments. Luckily, my ex is loaded and loves to travel and we're still on good terms and I've already discussed the weekend trip with her lol

Nice. Well let me put it this way, my girl and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day... we celebrated opening day. She bought me a case of beer and I bought her LSU colored flowers. So yea, she is the one haha.

Just bought weekend passes for section 114, row L. Row 12 behind home plate for the last day of Pool Play, semis and championship. All for $104 for 2 tickets. Not bad lol

Not bad at all. Should be a fun time! I'm excited about going to Minute Maid, never been. My family use to travel to all the away games, that was also when gas was cheap and tickets were practically free.

I've hit a good portion of the midwest stadiums with my dad, but Minute Maid is next on my list for road games. Most of the games I get to are Cardinals games in Busch

I went to the old Buch Stadium a bunch. I have been to the Braves stadium close to double digits. Use to follow Maguire back in the day... embarrassingly I was a huge fan as a kid.

Oh he was by far my favorite player as a kid. Anyone with the nickname Big Mac can win over the kids. Kind of pissed he turned out the way he did, but his power was something to see

In the process of cleaning out all the stuff from my parents house, and I just have piles and piles of Maguire memorabilia, from homerun newspapers to "limited edition toy cars" (can't make that up). No clue what to do with it now. Don't want it and it is virtually valueless. I do have a Nolan Ryan autographed picture I will take to the new crib though.
