I'd say SB Nation expects UTK to win out, and they are paying attention to the games played, not just basing Bowl placement predictions on projected won/loss records. Tennessee travels well, pulls eyes to TV screens, and deserve pairing with a B1G opponent in one of the NYD Bowls. Unless the Vols stumble in their remaining schedule, they deserve better than a working-Wednesday afternoon game (Belk) vs some ACC also ran.

The Vols' coaches aren't particularly thrilled with it but won't have a ton of choice in terms of playing starters more than they'd prefer this weekend. The lack of depth is significant, and Tennessee won't risk it with Jashon Robertson and not expected to test Preston Williams this week, either. Brett Kendrick and Marquez North are expected to try to be available while defensively, the Vols should have both Stephen Griffin and Darrell Miller but may not have Elliott Berry. North has been better everyday this week compared to last week, but the final test for him won't come until Saturday's warm-up's where last week spasms prevented him from going. This week, North's treatment routine was altered in hopes of the back responding more favorably. With the unknowns with North and the continued shut down of Williams. There aren't a lot of receivers to sub and they would like to get some guys particularly Josh Malone and Josh Smith some rest as those two have logged the most reps at the position.

And though he's redshirting, Drew Richmond didn't dress last week with a foot injury and isn't likely to dress this week, either. Venzell Boulware should dress while he goes through a redshirt season. Coaches have raved about Boulware really since the open date. In fact, he won one of the program's grinder awards last week for his work in the weight room.
