I like the idea of splitting the squad into two practice sessions. I hope they do it a few more times.

Me too.

Plus it shows how much this coaching staff cares. They're not getting paid more to work twice as long, but they're doing it anyways.

Where are you getting that from this....."Riley divided his team into two on the first day, with half the squad working with coaches at 10 a.m. and the other half getting their chance closer to noon."

Do you think the staff would typically go home at noon?

So what you're saying is the staff decided to cut the time in half?

Riley said in his presser that the players will all get the regular amount of time, but the coaches will work double time. I watched the whole presser.

He just said he didn't want a regular timed practice where most of the players are sitting and watching.

So instead, he'll have 2 regular timed practices and half the players will go first, half will go second. But all the coaches will go for both of them.

I seriously wonder how your brain processes information sometimes, JJM.

"They're not getting paid more to work twice as long"

Do you really think the coaches would normally go home at noon? Work is work whether they're in their offices or on the field.

Right.

I used to work in the same building as those coaches, and trust me.......sitting on their asses in the office is not work.

In fact, all they did on a daily basis in the office was bullshit and tell nasty pr0n jokes.

Riley actually even said in the presser that "this is going to be fun" because now he gets to spend more time on the field instead of sitting on his ass in the office.

Like any new coach, Riley is good at saying all the right things that the minions need to hear.

I like what I'm hearing from the coaches so far but it's hard to bite on it too much at this point, in retro from even as recent as last year we were still learning just how to fucking conduct a practice efficiently, in that regard alone this is a massive upgrade and the players seem to notice right off the first day

I tend to take MR at his word. Basically he says he's a quick learner with a live arm.

I also tend to take JJM at his word. The chewing during practice part is hard to believe though. I mean I seriously wouldn't put it past Bo, but Skoal ready cut openly provided at a D1 blue blood school sounds pretty fucking outlandish.
