LOL, the Heat organization without Lebron is still worth more than the Cavs with Lebron. How fucking pathetic is that for the Cavs?

And, the Cavs value is high NOW, but instantly goes down the day he leaves to back where it was..
It's kind of like the stock market.
It's all a number on paper, unless you sell to make the profit.
Gilbert isn't doing that, so todays value really means nothing.

I'm very excited about this team.

Matter of fact, I've backed off my Beasley or bye position and reached out to see what viable season ticket extensions are available.
Beasley will be playing in Europe- no one wants a PF who cant play D, and cant convert with any kind of efficincy offensively, while also being a risk of getting in trouble and suspended. His NBA days are likely over.

Right..and James doesn't play PG 80% of the time?
I guess Kyrie shouldn't be allowed on the court with him?

Learn the game.

Teams can play with 2 PF's, 4 G's, 2 C's...or whatever the hell they want to do..
As long as the player count doesn't go over 5, it's all good.
thats EXACTLY what I was saying- its not like just because the Cavs have Love that they cant pay Thompson because they do the same things- QUITE THE OPPOSITE- they actually compliment and play with eachother EXTREMELY well.

Riley will be riding off into the sunset- and instead of winning, not 3, not 4, not 5.etc....he will go out in mediocrity because Arison wasnt willing to pony up to keep LeBron happy. Its just too awesome. I really thought LeBron would come back at some point- but I never thought he would do it so soon and with so many high quality years left.

Thank God Arison went out of his way to repeatedly piss the guy off.

and NOW LeBron has 2 sidekicks that can carry the load with him- instead of 2 older, decaying guys that he would only continue to bear more of a burden carrying. He really played it to PERFECTION. (and not only 2 sidekicks- but a slew of very solid role players like Shumpert, Thompson, Mo, Mozgov etc. etc.- instead of dumpster diving for Rashard Lewis and Greg Oden etc.)

LOL

Riley has a 8 collective NBA titles as a player, coach, and executive. Nice try bringing up "not 3, not 4, etc..." that was Lebron that did that. Riley made good on his promise to help give Lebron the tools to finally get over the hump that Lebron couldn't do in Cleveland, and still hasn't. For someone that's not worried about the Heat, you sure talk about our team quite a lot - that's fear.

Also, buddy, Lebron doesn't have many quality years left. He's going to be 31 this year and he's got more miles on his body than Kobe did at this juncture. Given his style of play, it's not foolish to see the drop off come sooner rather than later. But hey, don't let me ruin fantasy land for you, little guy.

We shall see.
I know he's working his butt off hoping for another chance in the NBA, somewhere.
If not, prob China again, he actually liked it there, and made decent $$.

think of how laughable it was signing McRoberts and Granger and trade for Shabazz Napier to try and keep Bron in Miami. Its no wonder he split.

On one hand- Love, Kyrie- and a whole slew of assets and young guys

or

on the other hand- Wade, Bosh, years of trading away draft picks, very little room to maneuver-and a refusal to even use the little room to manuever that he did have in the name of SAVING money- like jettisoning 1st rounders or leaving MLE unused.

You gotta wonder exactly what the guy was thinking- and how Arison and Riley combined to blow it in such a big way. So much so that all Riley could do was have some ackward press conference trying to call out LeBron to stay- and then flying cross-country just to polish his knob.

you beat me to it.
Riley offered a chance to compete for championships, hopefully every year, and they did.

It's called the salary cap combined with no tradeable assets.
We were in that position all 4 years, but still ended up with 2 rings and 4 Finals appearances.

So far you are at 0-1 with 1, but now are looking like you are out of salary cap and tradeable assets.

Someday you might learn/comprehend that.

Better yet, tell us what better/more Riley could have done/got....

Wiggy calls us idiots. Yet, we break down the following everytime:

Wade, Bosh, and Lebron took up 85-90% of the salary cap:

Miller, Haslem, Anthony, and Chalmers took up the remainder.

How in the hell was Riley supposed to go out and get other great players? He still got Battier, Ray Allen, and Rashard Lewis (on vet. minimum).

For someone that knocks the Heat for being in the lottery. Your piece of shit franchise got the best lottery luck in the 4 years prior, particularly 3 number 1's out of 4 years. Without those, Lebron doesn't come back to Cleveland. FACT.

maybe if Arison was willing to spend some of that money instead of going El Cheapo- hed still have LeBron- instead of taking a trip to the lotto and wasting the last few effective years of Bosh and Wade's careers.

It is a shame the last few years of Wade/Bosh/Riley's careers will be wasted wallowing in mediocrity because Arison wanted to save a few million bucks here or there.

You are like a parrot.
You keep saying the same thing over, and over, and over, but really can't explain what it means.

Lets see the list of how the money that Arison saved could have been spent.

I can explain it again.
When you are over the cap, ridding of a player doesn't mean you can then spend that money on someone else.
It comes down to are you just better off without that player...and in every instance Riley/Arison made that choice it was the prudent one.

Furthermore, one of those number 1's you used was to get Anthony Bennett. Who by the way, looks to be a spectacular bust at this point. Yet, I forget, that piece of shit organization is so perfect.

Advice:
If you are single, don't be in any rush to narrow it down to 1.

NBA -- How did the Cleveland Cavaliers get Timofey Mozgov?

read the utter genius and amount of moves it took to create the trade exception it took to get Mozgov. If I was an NBA GM perhaps I could tell you what Riley SHOULD have done. Perhaps he should look at a guy like Griffin who has shown hte creativity to make something out of nothing.

not only that- but I thought everyone wanted to come and play for a title in south beach, lol- now you whine about how Rileys hands were tied. LAughable. Pathetic. Excuses.

The Cavs had a shit ton of draft picks to trade away. Jesus Christ, you're fucking stupid.

How many championship rosters has Griffin put together?

Riley's put together a few. Almost did it in New York too where they were one game away from the title in '94.

Your example means nothing, because the Heat didn't have anything near that type of flexibility to work with.
Show me ANY path the Heat could have went to improve the roster.

And, are you crazy? (Yes we all know), Riley doesn't control the salary cap rules..he just has to follow them.

And yes, players line up and will play for discounts to come here. Of course we aren't talking young guys sacrificing a huge pay day, that isn't happening anywhere, but it certainly isn't or wasn't about just playing with James like it is in Cleveland right now.
If so, we wouldn't have just signed Amare or Green for the minimum, right?

Think about this..Gilbert will have more $$ tied up in Tristan next year then Arison did in the Big 3 combined in Heat season 1.

Yep..you guys do/did a great job..

I just cannot wait for a hopeful Cavs/Heat playoff series. I envision a 5 game series- and Riley limps off into retirement afterwards while Wade jumps ship to go to the Lakers or Bulls...that would be so funny.

A team that couldnt be .500 in the East with no major additions is not even worth worrying about. Its over in Miami. There is nothing left except that long slide into mediocrity- eventually Bosh and Wade going in the tank- owing multiple first rounders out to teams for years to come- and Riley leaving someone else with the bill when it becomes due.

7 years from now LeBron will be 37, Kyrie will be 30, Love will be 33- and the Cavs will still be contenders.

I wonder if by then the Heat will have actually acquired a star in their prime. THAT is not guaranteed- especially missing all those picks.
