Your right man. Those Celtics were just too much for you guys. I mean- I get it. Wade, Whiteside and Dragic was just not enough to hold off the likes of Isiah Thomas (who they had just traded ofr) and J. Sullinger and Avery Bradley and company. actually I think Sully was injured- heck with Jeff Green and Rajon Rondo when you have Tyler Zeller and Evan Turner

Like I said, you just don't get it.

I didn't want to make the playoffs, and no team owes another team anything, but you seem to be forgetting that the Cavs intentionally tanked 2 games to the Celtics the last week because they didn't want to risk playing the Heat.

Karma came around though, ask Love.

And, why haven't you accepted my Heat being better than Bucks bet yet?

How about 30 days totally off SportsHoopla?

If Bosh was healthy, no chance they miss the playoffs. But, if James was injured and the Cavs missed the playoffs......there would be an injury excuse.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

omg. This is how delusional you are.

It was not about the Cavs getting their players ready for the playoffs- and resting them since they were locked into the 2 seed- it was about missing the Heat- the Heat that were playing like absolute shit! lol. holy crap man. That takes the cake. I think you are juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit biased in that. O man. Too funny

why because Ithink the young Bucks could potentially be very good this year I am going to risk 30 days HA. I have no clue if this is the year where the Bucks take a big time leap or if this is the year where the Heat really really begin to nosedive with Wade and Bosh- their catalysts- starting to underperform. The Heat very well could win more games or the Bucks could very well win more games. I believe it will be close.

However- there is NO DOUBTING that I would take the Bucks roster going forward in a second. That Riley would get laughed off the phone if he inquired about Giannis or Parker.

I predicted the Heat at 49 wins. I think the Bucks will be around the same- but it is 100% clear that these are teams that are going in completely opposite directions- and if its not this year where they meet eacother with the HEat going down and the Bucks going up- itll be very soon.

it could be YEARS before the Heat acquire a young talent like a Giannis or Parker. As I have been trying to tell you- Stars in their prime win in this league and the Heat are devoid of those.

Personally, I think we are going to see another big leap from Kyrie Irving this year. He should hit the ground running this year now that the teams roster is settled in and he has adjusted to playing with great players.

While we might not see gaudy numbers because of Love and LeBron- I think Kyrie's efficiency will continue to climb. I mean- his shooting was stupendous last year. I think he continues to establish himself as one of the most unguardable players in the league, while bettering his playmaking ability.

They played them before, and after the Celts games.
Like I said, I was glad, and they earned the right to control whatever destiny they wanted, but don't act like it didn't happen.

I believe James even publicly said that he didn't want to play them.
Not really worried about beating them, but didn't want to deal with all the distractions in round 1.

In the end I think you are right and thats what will happen- but while we are still 10 weeks from opening night where is the urgency? If you remember Harden wasnt even decided until the day before the season started when he was traded to Houston.

Lets just hope that by the time training camp starts this is settled. It should be.

The urgency would be in just "getting it over with." At this point, all of this back and forth just looks bad and is delaying the inevitable. From the way it looks, there are only 2 possible outcomes at this point. Either the Cavs pay him what he wants (or damn close to it), or they force him into the qualifying offer and lose him after the season.

Neither is a particularly great option, but giving him his money and moving forward seems like the one that makes the most sense given their current situation.

Nothing against those 2, but young, high draft picks occur every season.
Those typically aren't the guys you see playing in May/June.

Also, didn't we just draft Winslow?
You don't think he has the ceiling of those 2 or similar type players?

You say this:

nah....not worried about "love and kyries" bodies

Then you say this:

the Cavs went through their own roster upheavel and their own injuries-

The guys whom you claim to "not be worried about" are the guys who were the reason the Cavs had "their own injuries."

You keep telling us that Kyrie isn't injury prone, yet he hasn't played a full season since his junior year of high school. And before you tell us about how he played 70+ games last year, where was he when the Cavs needed him the most?

DESPITE THOSE INJURIES THE CAVS GOT TO GAME 6 OF THE NBA FINALS.

What did the Heat do with their injury and trade issues? Whined themselves to 10th in the East and a sub .500 record.

Kyrie was hurt for the NBA Finals after an EXTREMELY gritty performance in game 1 where he saved the game and got it sent to OT with that block of Curry.

THAT IS A LONG WAY from missing the playoffs and getting beat out by the stripped down Boston Celtics.

Ill tell ya which one I would prefer! lol

ceiling of Jabari Parker or Giannis Antekentmpepo (lol whatever his last name is)

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Winslow is very similar to MKG. He is not the athlete or leader MKG was in college- but I do like Winslow. He cant shoot- thats why he dropped- but he can become a very good defender eventually. MKG is by far the best comp I can think of for Winslow. And as much as I like MKG- he is one of the guys I really like to watch (along with RW)- he is not a #1 or #2 and will not be one anytime soon even though he is going into i believe his 4th year.

Who knows where Winslow is 4, 5, 6 years from now. But he does not have near the ceiling- at least at this point- of guys like Parker and Giannis.

The thing is you never know though. I am not going to sit here and say its impossible Winslow turns into a #1 or #2 on a good team- I will say its highly unlikely given his skill set. If he develops he will be something like a Tony Allen eventually in all likelihood.

None of this has anything to do with my post. Not one word of it. I didn't mention the Heat, I didn't question whether or not Kyrie was "gritty" in game 1 of the finals and I didn't mention them making it to game 6 of the finals. I pointed out that he has not finished a season since his junior year of high school and you respond with some shit about the Heat.

You have repeatedly posted about/made fun of D-Wade's injuries. Yet, every time Kyrie's injuries get mentioned you want to change the subject.

Why do you dodge Kyrie's injury history every time it's mentioned?

Yep. We told Wiggy of this from the getgo, and he said this wouldn't be an issue because Gilbert was willing to pay whatever it took so Cleveland could get its first title. Now, here's the chance for Gilbert to go ahead and give Thompson his money, yet he's not doing it, why? Whether they sign him or not, I believe the Cavs will be over the cap anyway, considering you have to factor Lebron's max contract next season. So....what's the deal? You're not going to be any better if you let Thompson walk, because you can't replace him with equal value.

I mean...the guy is NUTS with his salary demands.

But, he is a blue collar player that does things that Love can't/won't.

Honestly, what is Mozgov's future with this Team?

Tristan got way more burn in the finals.

Was it simply the Warriors small ball match up or a sign of things to come?

This is Rich Paul's m.o......

Drag the shit out..But, get what you want in the end.

He's not nuts because of his connection with James. 100% collusion. Gilbert signed up for it.

Mozgov is def on their minds though for next year. His 5 could jump to 12-15? x 3 for luxury.

That line can apply too 100's of Wiggys responses.

He won't address Kyries injuries with anything but hope that they were unrelated and just bad luck vs facing the fact that so far he's shown he's made of glass.

Which leaves me befuddled as to why they are dragging this out.

Bron has them by the nuts. So, they can't let Tristan walk.

Using the Showtime Lakers as an example. Tristan Thompson is basically. A.C. Green. He brings defense, rebounding and energy. Not much else. He is very important to the Cavs, but he's not Lebron, Kyrie or Love.

The difference is, A.C. Green never forgot he was A.C. Green and not Magic, Worthy or Kareem. Therefore, he never asked to be paid like Magic, Worthy or Kareem. Tristan Thompson seems to want to be paid like he's Lebron, Kyrie or Love. Problem for him is, he's still Tristan Thompson. Problem for the Cavs is, they pretty much have to pay him anyway.
