So did the Cavs use their MLE on Mo? Or just sign him, I thought they had to use it on him but I could be wrong.
I responded to this:
Your inability to be even slightly objective re: the Cavs is pretty ridiculous. You come off like a 5 year old talking about how he can beat up Superman.
they used part of their tax payer mid level which i believe is 3.3M...so they have a portion of that left to basically sign a 1.1M player- probably a ring-chasing vet for depth i would think. So did the Cavs use their MLE on Mo? Cavs had the best record in the entire NBA after they made the 2 trades in January. After that point they rolled the West to the tune of a 15-1 record (only loss OT @ Houston). With the development and steps up KI and Thompson, and Delly made last year- combined with Love/KYrie/LeBron all working to get on the same page- the Cavs did not have to make one single move besides retain the team they had to be favorites to win it. Adding Mo helps- and getting Varejao back helps, and they are not done yet.
Their is a reason the Cavs were the best team in the league from January on- they were deep and extremely talented. The only thing that can derail them is bad luck. The Heat and their fans are insane if they sit hear coming off a year they couldnt make the eastern conference playoffs and try and say they are legit contenders. the Heat are NOT legit contenders- not until they prove that they are more than a lotto team without LeBron. Period.
just saying- before you declare yourself contenders to a team that played the best basketball in the league the 2nd half of the year- dont ya think ya could put up a couple months of a record of .500? I mean- 37-45 does not scream to me "contender"- and I am sorry if I have doubts that Chris Bosh takes you from a team that is 8 games below .500 to contender status. Just saying- lets see you guys play .500 ball for a while before you anoint the Heat as anything more than a mediocre team. Deal?I'm still waiting for the Cavs to prove that they're legit contenders without Lebron. Never have been in their entire existence, and won't be afterwards either. The Heat were plagued by injuries, but you like to ignore that narrative. Also, Bosh and Dragic didn't play 1 NBA minute together either. We'll see what happens, but Miami likely ends up somewhere as a 3-4 seed.
Things change from season to season. Other teams have re-tooled and have gained more experience (look at Spurs and Warriors respectively). We'll see how the season goes.
I responded to someone else saying something about not having Lebron. So I didnt bring it up, when you are wrong you try to defend it. Just admit it like a man. It's not a big deal lol

ohh ok...so 30 games of Chris Bosh takes you from 8 games under .500 to contender status...your absolutely right...lolBosh was out 30 games due to a blood cot. I'm sorry facts are what they are. Boring ****.

ohh ok...the Heat had injuries... during the year "Wade was as healthy as he has been in years"Well.....when you factor in injuries to Deng, Wade (hamstring, not knee related), Dragic came in at the deadline (after Bosh was diagnosed with a blood clot), then add in Winslow who looks to be in the rotation. Miami *could* contend for the East. I still put them as a 2nd tier competitor to the Warriors and Spurs, followed by the Cavs. Once again, you seem to grasp the simplest of concepts. Miami was injured throughout the year and couldn't stay consistent with their lineups, that affects on-court chemistry. I don't know how you could have a debate on what a title team looks like, considering the only time Cleveland has seen an NBA title is when the other team is holding up the trophy.

somehow the Cavs managed to fight off LeBron missing the most games he has ever missed, a new coach, Love's recurring back injuries, 2 major trades, losing Varejao in early December- and still got the 2 seed and all the way to Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The Heat couldnt get passed the Celtics and Nets.
I am sorry- but the Heat are going to have to prove that they are not an also-ran lotto team that they sure looked like last year without LeBron. Wade/Dragic/Whiteside LOST GROUND to the freaking Celtics and Nets and Pacers during the last 6 weeks of the season. If those 3 cant play better than the Celts and Nets- there is no way on Gods green earth that Chris Bosh and a rookie transforms them into anything the Cavs and Bulls should be concerned with.
Id take the Bucks roster over the Heats in a second--- and the Wizards, and Pacers with George back are more on the Heat level.

Uhh..why? lol
They dont need to prove it, he is their best player. Miami didnt make great moves when he was their other than some MLE or older guys. It's revolves around Lebron, Lebron is the centerpiece. All they need is 1-2 more guys and their roster looks just fine comparing with the other teams at the top.
Cavs fans are like Oh nooooooooo Deja vu with Mo Williams. LBJ wanted him last time. That didn't work out and both are now older. I don't see this ending well.
