Well if it is true, that was dumb. No way in hell they would get Monroe not offering the max. Why even offer him anything if he has expressed he wants max. Lakers have been looking bad the last couple days.

Ramona is usually solid, but Woj trumps everybody. If he says they didn't offer Monroe a max, then it's pretty likely that they didn't.

In this case all Ramona reported was what Monroe's agent said. The agents job is to make their client look good.

I'm still torn on whether the Knicks and Laker's both COMPLETELY striking out during this FA is a good or a bad thing.

It's funny because both teams will once again be some of the worst teams in the league next year after a year when both fan bases just assumed every big name would join them.

So...so? They have the most $ tied up in 3 guys and haven't even started negotiations with LBJ & are trying to close a deal with TT.

You know all that will be talked about in relation to this team during the season is how well, or not, they've played for the $ these guys will be making.

The whole 'Aldridge to Miami' idea doesn't make sense. They already have Bosh and just signed Dragic too so surely they'll be over the cap.

I am willing to bet the Lakers approach the second meeting with him being their franchise player surrounded by young talent, such as Randle & Russell, and include the potential for growth next season when Kobe's contract comes off the books and he possibly retires. That might do the trick if it's true he wants to be the focal point on whatever team he chooses.

That and exactly how he'll be used in the Lakers scheme are about all that would be left to discuss.

It will be a damn good roster but it depends on what moves the Cavs make to improve their bench. They could have the best bench in the entire league depending on who they get.

Seriously....what crop of players does he honestly think they'll be picking from when the time comes? They certainly won't be picking and 2nd tier guys...and anything below that would be a hit or miss approach.

If the reports are true, Kobe won't be there. Just Mitch and Byron. Personally, I'd have Jeanie there in a bikini too, but that's just me.

Yea, Riley pitching to Aldridge especially when is was planning to ship Whiteside and Deng out of town made little sense whatsoever.
