That last TD drive was 14 plays, 7 minutes and 99 yards. I thought the running into the kicker penalty was fishy, but the announcers said that was indeed the right call.
20-7 lead. Dallas missed an excellent scoring chance after they picked off a tipped Stafford pass on the opening play of the second half. Lions then drive down the field and put up 3.
Well that was quite the turn of events with the flag being picked up followed by the brutal punt. Detroit might as well have just gone for it on 3rd and 1 instead of faking and taking the penalty if they knew the field position would have been almost the same after the punt.
How do you announce a penalty and THEN pick it up?
I've never heard of that before. OBVIOUS pass interference.
If they though Pettigrew had hands to the face/mask of the defender, it should have been offsetting penalties and replay the down at worst for Detroit.
This is fishy as hell. Beyond the horseshit picking up of a flag, they allowed Dez Bryant to run onto the field, helmet-less, to argue a call on the defense. They've literally given Dallas life again and again. I'd say it's crazy if it weren't the freaking Cowboys.
