According to the facebooks, the game was the worst thing to happen on earth, but hey - attaboy Suggs for smashmouth football.

Or smashknees football. Whatever.

Edit: "Don't you have some shrimp to catch?"

I just got that. Harsh.

Late Hits, Dirty Hits, Intent to injure Hits, Hits from behind, Knee Hits, Head Hits, Hit my baby momma...

That hit was ugly. I think Blount gets a bad back injury if he hadn't turned to the side just before contact.

I'm fairly certain in rugby Suggs would have taken an offside penalty, since that probably would have been considered a maul, and especially dangerous entering from the sides or offsides maul entries can be carded, as well. In football, though, that's more the equivalent of a chop block, I think, which is a penalty, obviously, and also hurts a lot, also obviously.

Of course, there are probably a lot of NFL fans who thought it was legal, necessary, and "good football," and are probably making poorly-conceived jokes about having players play in skirts or whatever they say...

I don't like the hit but if the whistle wasn't blown it's a legal hit. He hit him in the thigh and hip.

If chop blocks are still illegal, I see no reason for that hit to be allowed. There is no functional difference between the two.

I don't really disagree with you.

I think football could gain a lot by employing some rugby tackle laws, honestly, both in terms of cleanness of the game (fewer missed tackles) and player safety.

Perhaps, I know very little about rugby. I'm no homophobe but the idea of a bunch of men in tight shirts and shorts violently hugging seems a little off to me. I'm not alone in that either, most of the guys in the steam room this morning agreed.

I'd go Mark Sanchez, he's at home against a struggling Panthers team

Chiefs are in Buffalo

Guess I made a mistake putting 70 vcash on Cincy.

Cincy was favored by 6.5 at home. Browns have just taken a 14-3 lead. :L

6.5 seems like a big margin in this matchup...man. Cleveland is trending up, and Cincy has had a few rough games of late.

This is the last time I put vmoney on Cincy this year.

Last Sunday I gave up on San Diego. 2.5 pt underdogs against Miami...and they lose 37-0. :L
