If anyone wants an example of how the NFL has changed the game with rule changes, just watch the Colts-Steelers game today. I'm convinced the league sent a memo to the refs today to focus on illegal hands/contact penalties on the D. I think there was offensive holding called twice (once wiped out with a mystery illegal hands call). I mean, they called any glance to the helmet. It was insane. It aided *some* of the points. Honestly, a lot of the Steelers points were simply the Colts incompetence/Ben's competence. Only a few drives aided by penalty yards. One really bad defensive PI call though.

Cam Newtons career personna in a microcosm yesterday ... laughing and showboating when the panthers were moving the ball at will in the first half on the seahawks

when his team got down and needed him most ... here came the shoulder slump ... the quitting ... and the pouting ... and the 4th and 25 screen pass from his end zone that he couldnt complete and threw a bounce pass short from 5 yards away
