Things are starting to shake out and pictures are becoming clearer. Is anyone else excited to see what will transpire before the trade deadline. Is your team buying, selling or both? Or playing a pat hand and hoping for the best?
Going to be interesting. As far as the Mets go, I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until next year to do anything. One team i'm curious about is the Cubs...Soriano, Garza, maybe Castro? Garza should garner some big interest. Soriano could help someone if the Cubbies eat some salary, and I don't know what to make of Castro. At times, he seems like he's not very interested in what he's doing.

I hope Huston Street is waived tomorrow morning but I know it's not realistic anyone but the Padres are dumb enough to pay this washed-up bum $7M. He came into the 9th and gave up HRs on back-to-back pitches. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If the Padres are serious winning, they'll dump this clown and clear the roster spot.
Think they should make a play for Papelbon? Some blips lately, but still...
So apparently Joba/Huges are attracting no attention, one exec said nobody is giving up anything worthwhile for either one.
Marlins are pushing Nolasco hard on the trade market. He has some quality stuff for a team looking for short term depth in their rotation.
Yankees will be buying but should be selling, they could/should move Cano, Granderson, Hughes, and Joba.
If not, give each of them 1 year/16 million qualifying offers this winter and collect more compensatory picks in next years draft if/when they sign elsewhere.
