Thoughts? I liked our picks during the first two rounds and while I thought we did not get this best value in the 3rd, I understood the pick since we need to have a dominant offensive line. However, I am not usre I liked our 4th and 5th round pick as much as our linebacker position has some depth already and pretty sure we could have gotten a much better player in the 4th than we did. Also, out fifth round pick was a real head scratcher. If we wanted a defensive end, there were more athlectic ones on the board that had played in a 4/3.

Oh well. The team must be real high on Randle and Williams and McFadden and Dunbar.

I like picks 1-4. I wanted a RB for sure, but I feel like every other need has been addressed.

The 5th round pick, if not a RB, I would have like to see them take a chance on Holliman, S, Louisville. But another DE isn't the worst thing in the world.

May still get another chance at Holliman if he continues to drop.

I wanted an RB, but I liked our 4th and 5th. The Minnesota LB is a ballplayer, and I heard Coach Rod loves the Purdue kid. Good enough for me

Wilson from Minnesota looks pretty decent to me. I think he is insurance for Sean Lee. I see him as a WLB in the NFL.

I don't know anything about the Purdue DE.

Michael Bennett and Holliman are the two most intriguing prospects remaining on the board, IMO.

If we were going off my big board, our last 3 picks would have been Jay Ajayi, Michael Bennett and Gerod Holliman, but Jerry pays McClay more than he pays me lol.
A few years ago, I'd be going nuts over a few "reach" picks, but it's not Jerry Roulette anymore. The Cowboys have proven to know what they are doing the last few years, and I'm pumped to see this group

A decent draft for the Cowboys but nothing extraordinary.

Hoping we take IFo and Nick Marshall. I think IFo may get the same treatment Whaley got last yr. Of course Marshall is the Qb for Auburn that is now a DB.

For some reason I envision Marshall playing for NE and throwing a TD pass against us this yr- of course the announcers will go nuts and talk about how great Bill BElicheck is

6 and 7 round picks were head scratchers. You trade a 6 round next year to get a blocking tight end????That is beyond stupid.

I kind of feel the same way. I would like to hear what the team was thinking with some of these picks.

From Walter Football. Means nothing of course, but still better to see someone that likes it than doesn't.

Dallas Cowboys: Laurence Gibson, OT, Virginia: A Grade
I had the Cowboys picking Laurence Gibson - at No. 168 (fifth round). Gibson is a long-armed, athletic tackle, so even though he's raw, there's no reason he should have fallen this far. This is a potential steal for Dallas.

I didn't get that one either since it will be tough for that kid to break the 53 this year unless we have an injury or take 4 TEs. I would get it next year for sure because Hannah is in the last year of his contract this year, but he was real good blocking for us. In 2014. I guess they think this kid can block better. Maybe we do go 4 TEs if we find enough quality. Escobar isn't a blocker and you need to rest Witten a little more on some of these early run downs.

I think the team is ready to move on from Hannah. I doubt he makes it out of preseason with the team. Hannah, doesn't do anything very well. He is a subpar blocker and subpar pass catcher. Escobar is the second pass catcher. Swain is going to be the blocking TE, in the mold of a Dan Campbell.
