Purdy's career just disintegrating this season.

I don’t agree - Purdy has had a solid season overall - and the Niners have had a slew of injuries - Aiyuk and McCaffrey out for most of the year, their best O-Lineman out, and some other injuries as well. Purdy has been decent overall.

He will get top end of the market type contract, the $55mil/yr range. I don't see any way they let him walk, being in QB purgatory or hell is way worse than paying Purdy $50mil/yr.

He's missed a lot of the key guys throughout the season, so it's way more than just those 2 guys. Even more is the OLine has been bad and missing Trent Williams made that worse. Think what you want, but the franchise tag is $42 mil next year and will only go up. The market it going to dictate his contract.
