Locker> cutler

I think most Titans fans would prefer to stick with Locker, especially at the money Cutlet will command.

Give me Chris Johnson, though, please.

Everyone else can pass on him, that's cool.

So he can average 2 ypc and whine about the OL? Do you have any idea what it does to a fan to have to watch this top-paid player run up to the line of scrimmage and collapse 25 times a game? :gaah:

Money aside, locker is better.

I hope someone pays cutler 20 per. That's a guarantee someone won't be a serious contender any time soon.

His skill is near top of the line, though. Some guys just need the right fit, and even though you don't say it, I don't think he's crazy far off on accuracy. If the right organization teaches him to keep his mouth shut and play, and gives him reasonable opportunity (holes) to do so, he will produce.

I have no clue what kind of salary he will demand due to some of the concerns you mentioned, but if the cost is reasonable I would be pretty damn happy with a CJ, Blount, Vereen backfield.

Please don't bring up LeGarrette Blount or I'll be forced to tears. :bawling: He was OURS!!! :frusty:

I was fucking thrilled with a seventh for him. A low risk, high reward move that hasn't entirely hit the upside it had, but did bring a very legitimate contributor on the cheap.

I like Locker and he was starting to play well. I can't see scrapping him at this point. He showed a great deal of promise this year.

I've always wanted to see Harbaugh/Roman and Locker work together, the injuries trend is starting to scare me, though.

Used-up running backs don't usually draw much interest. Ahman Green just got lucky a few years ago that the Texans were stupid.

is he used up, or just not playing for the right team?

Johnson was never the same back after he got paid big.

I wouldn't want him... plus he would never play again for cheap.

He wants to be paid as the highest RB in the league.

That isn't going to happen. When the best deal he gets is a 4-5 mil "prove it" deal, can he turn it down?

Chris Johnson on the Pats would be INSANE imo. They consistently scheme to their players strengths.

Belichick is the type of coach that would pursue him for real. I just don't want him to reunite with his former coach Jeff Fisher.

I think he actually gets enough to be out of our price range. I just don't get people acting like he's likely to be in a position to turn down money that "isn't enough" if it's the best he has on the table.

Jay Cutler - QB - Bears

The National Football Post's Jason Cole reports the Bears are likely to let free-agent-to-be Jay Cutler walk in the offseason unless he's willing to sign a team-friendly deal.

Cole is just the latest member of the media to report this, so it doesn't come as a shock. "(The Bears) believe in (coach Marc) Trestman after what they’ve seen from (backup quarterback Josh) McCown," a source told Cole. "Between his system and the two big receivers (Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery), you have a system where a quarterback can flourish. I don’t know if McCown is going to be the starter (next season), but I think the team would be fine letting Cutler test the market and then go draft someone if he left." The Bears could re-sign McCown to a cheap, short-term deal and let a draft pick sit and learn.
