Couldn't agree more. Carter and Carle are, IMO, our two most expendable pieces to trade (or clear cap space) for a legit goaltender. Hopefully Homer realizes this now.

Versteeg is more expendable, then those 2.

If Leino wants too much money then Versteeg stays, simple as that, so why do the Flyers have to get rid of a D-man, its forwards that need to be downgraded.

Leighton gets buried for lying about his back, sad thing is he really didn't get a chance this year. Flyers can't afford to have this debacle again next year.

Bob may be ready next year after the experience gained but if they can get a guy like Bryz for a decent price you do it...Bob can ease into the role back up and take over in a few years. Dump Versteeg or Carle or both for draft picks and a few tinkers here and there and this team would be instantly better. Versteeg isn't doing what is expected defensive fwds don't turn over the puck constantly and make bad defensive zone decisions...very disappointing.

IMO Carts contract is good but if you want the guy on the wing why not replace him with a true power winger? He's just too fragile come playoff time move him for a tough winger who will score when things are tight. You probably save a buck or two as well.

This teams very close could have won it easily this year they just need to get better and hope to catch better breaks next year Pronger going down was killer.

I think if you sign a guy like Bryz who is a legit #1 that will play in 60+ games, then BOB must play in the AHL to continue his development. He wont get any better sitting on the bench.

Yep that article about sums it up...thanks for posting it. Although I wouldn't put all the blame on the goaltending it doesn't mean that Homer can't upgrade it. If they find another guy you let Bob challenge him and if the other guy wins out Bob should still get 30-35 starts and learn how to be a pro....IMO end up being one of the best back ups in hockey for a year or two and he'll end up being a solid starter after that for years to come.

vokun...i believe is an unrestricted free agent...its a cash deal for him...Carter needs to be traded...always werthless in the playoffs...streaky...and his no trade clause starts the begining of next season...maybe a another good defenseman or equal value forward...shelly WOT...versteeg gone...out of place huge turnovers...talk about zherdev...lol...odonell can stay...really if pronger doesnt get hurt he plays only half the games instead of a full season...i dont believe the Flyers wanted him to play 82...boosh gone...hartnell and leino both dissapointments in the playoffs...
